First Clockwork builds a hang-glider out of his black coat, now it appears Rift!Victor might be getting wings. Cameron offered to help him build a pair after he told her that part of the reason he likes butterflies so much is their ability to fly free.
-VD: *surprised* What? Victor, do you want to fly?-
-TTV: *blush* Er -- m-maybe a little. . . .-
-VD2: Really? You should have said something, we would have taken you up for a ride if you wanted.-
-TTV: I just never really thought of it. Plus I didn't want to bother you.-
-TD: *looks Victor in the eye* Victor. We like you.-
-VuM: *hovering near eye level* You're one of the gang, if you haven't noticed. Hell, if you want to borrow my wing harness, I'll let you.-
-TTV: *blushing harder* I know, I've been here a while, I should be so shy about such things now, but still. . . . And I really couldn't -- what I break it?-
-OD: *tentacles chatter* The kids and I can fix it, no worries.-
-VuM: Yeah, there's seven other Docs besides. There's nothing --
-D: Nice as the sentiment is, VultureMarty, I'll ask you NOT to give the universe a challenge.-
-HD: Precisely. The universe is a horrible gambler and likes to cheat in its own favor. We don't want Victor getting hurt as a result.-
-TTV: *pales*-
Not doing much for his confidence, guys.
-VD: *pats Victor's shoulder* Well, maybe one of us will take you up first, then we'll see about the wing harness, okay?-
-TTV: All right then. *smiles a little* It does sound like fun.-
-VD2: *grins* It is, really.-
-RPD: That whole conversation with Cameron took an interesting turn, didn't it?-
Yeah -- things Rift!Victor hasn't really been thinking about. He's had his entire life sort of planned out for him, and now -- he's pretty much free to do what he likes (to a point, of course).
-DW: *looks over at Tie-Twister* Seems to suit our Victor well.-
-TTV: It IS nice to live in a world where people aren't expecting me to be perfect all the time.-
Yeah, go tell Rift!Victor that -- he probably needs to hear it.
Anyway, I gotta hit the sack -- work tomorrow.
