Hey, I've got my period. Truly trouble-free sleep is probably not possible. Besides, this was all research -- at least the Haunted Mansion stuff.
-TD: Research? For what?-
My Halloween costume!
-OD: *tentacles cheep, surprised* You've already decided?-
Yeah. I'm going as a dead bride.
-TTV: . . . You're going as Emily?-
Not her specifically, no. That dress looks like a pain in the ass. She's just the archetype. I know I'm going to be a dead bride, I'm just not sure which kind of dead bride.
-M2: How many kinds are there?-
I've identified three:
The Emily -- a bride murdered on her wedding day, generally one who vows to wait for a proper husband to come along. Named after our own "Corpse Bride" Emily, though she doesn't necessarily have to be murdered by her groom.
The Melanie -- a bride who wastes away waiting for a groom who never appears. This one's named for the Ghost Bride of the Phantom Manor, Disneyland Paris's answer to the Haunted Mansion. Her groom was killed by a vengeful spirit who hanged him, and she never quite got over it.
The Constance -- a bride who MURDERS, but apparently chose the wrong victim for her last husband. This one is named for the Ghost Bride currently in the Haunted Mansion, who is seen in the attic wielding an axe while reciting rather gruesome wedding vows. Since she's a Ghost Bride, I'm guessing she married a guy who killed HER first at her last wedding.
Of the three, the evil Constance sounds like the most fun, but I honestly like the "Melanie" and "Emily" types more.

I know. Dunno what's with the Halloweeny mood -- I kind of want to play American McGee's Alice too. It's weird.
