Weird-Ass Thought Of The Morning

Been reading minimate reviews on a toy site, and thinking about the ones I want to get in the future. Yes, I am addicted -- to the point where I'm thinking about CUSTOMIZING minimates. Or at least playing mix and match.
-M: Lemme guess -- American McGee's Alice and Corpse Bride.-
Yeah. Though I have no idea how you'd do the latter in minimate form. Or, more accurately, how you'd do VICTOR -- the girls I'm sure you could do with a little effort, but I'm not sure how one would translate pale Victor to minimate form. His face is just too pointy. Hmmm.
Anyway! I'm currently reading up on the Ghostbuster minimates, and that reminded me of a thought I had recently regarding silly dress-up thoughts. Allow me to relay it to you in the form of me conversing with museicalmarty:
Me: You know what?
Museical: What?
Me: For Halloween this year --
Museical: You're thinking about Halloween in JANUARY?!
Me: I'm weird like that -- you and the rest of the boys should go as the Ghostbusters!
Museical: The Ghostbusters? *thinks* Okay, THE Ghostbusters, or just Ghostbusters?
Me:: *puzzled* What are you talking about?
Museical: It's a cool idea, Vic, but we might run into problems if we try to go as the original team.
Me: What? Why?
Museical: Think about it. Doc's the science wonk here, so he's the one who acts the most like Egon -- but if you're talking looks, I think Victor's got that covered except for the glasses. Me, I think I'd be Peter, but I think Simon's got a shot at that role too. The only other guy I can see him as is Winston, but -- you know, he's not black.
Me: Well, we don't strictly have to have Winston, the Ghostbusters started off as just three guys. . . .
Museical: True, but I know you were thinking the full four-guy team. But no matter what, the fact is, we've got two potential Peters, two potential Egons, a maybe Winston -- but no Ray! And while you can dump Winston if you're going early-first-movie, there's no way you can do the Ghostbusters without Ray!

This is a point, but now I'm wondering. Egon may be the true "techie" of the group, but Ray's got a doctorate too. Ray's also the more openly enthusiastic one, which kind of fits Doc. And Egon's hobbies (collecting mold and fungi) line up slightly with Victor's (collecting butterflies). So this is how I was thinking it could break up:

Marty = Peter Venkman
Doc = Ray Stantz
Victor = Egon Spengler
Simon = Winston Zeddemore equivalent

This set-up has the added plus of making Alice Jeanine. :p I'm not sure who Dana and Louis would be, though. If we're sticking with Inkwell characters, Jennifer's not an option. The only remaining girl of age is Lucy. And our only other boys are the turrets, who are about as far from Louis as you can get. Hmmm. Any thoughts, people?

Experiment a Success, Sort Of

So, I've got new batteries for my camera. However, I don't have any pictures for you. There's a good reason for this, though.

My camera can record VIDEO.

Yeah, pretty awesome, right? :D So I figured I might as well get some more mileage out of my YouTube account and show you a vid of the new shelf setups. I'm still figuring out the controls, though, as the 12-second clip there shows. I also probably need better lighting. And to not sound so strange. ^^;

Anyway! Hopefully I can get that done tomorrow. Might be cool, right? Better than just a lot of still pictures, anyway.

In other news, found a new play-through of American McGee's Alice, where apparently the guy is completely new to the game. I'm not entirely sure if I believe this or not, but it's amusing so far, so we'll see how it goes.
