Just One Little Problem. . . .

You know, today didn't start out too badly. I watched "The Wrong Trousers" with Wallace & Gromit over lunch, I took a nice walk with Mom, I started rewatching Helloween's Alice Let's Play, and I got myself a new thumbdrive/flash drive/whatever the hell you want to call it to back up my files.

Then my computer freezes TWICE in the span of like five minutes and suddenly my mood's shot to hell. Seriously, this thing has been giving me so much trouble lately -- a couple of days ago, whenever the monitor went into power-save mode, I couldn't get anything to come back up. Disabling the screensaver seems to have helped, but only in the sense that now the monitor doesn't go into power-save mode. And now this tonight, right in the middle of me talking to Ael and Moose and trying to compress some files for safe-keeping! I eventually got everything backed up and did a virus scan -- nothing. I have no fucking clue anymore, seriously.

Well, like I said, it's not all bad. I'm rewatching Helloween's Let's Play, like I said, which is always amusing. And during the virus scan, I finished Reaper Man. Great book, really. And the ending is pretty much all sweet and heartwarming. :D God, I love Pratchett. And now I get to start Witches Abroad, with my favorite Lancre girls! And on the RP front, I was nice and let Simon get his invisibility wished away in one of his threads, and the gang's over at John's giving him lots of booze. Seriously, it was the only thing I could think of -- at least I'm sure he and Joan will appreciate it?

So yeah, I've got that to get back to. And going out tomorrow to look forward to -- off to Best Buy to see about a laptop, and over to Newbury because -- well, I like the place. Frankly, after tonight, I think I'll be more than happy to get a second computer.

Oh, and Moose, sorry about cutting you off earlier, but I was running a virus scan and was absolutely terrified having anything else open and the computer freezing again. *hates this thing*
