Almost All Done
Sep. 19th, 2010 10:29 pmI made the Garfunkles yesterday, and the Leeches today. All that's left is Steve & Gary and Dee, and I can actually start moving people in and getting the Inkwell Secundus neighborhood on the road!
-VD2: I imagine those last three will be pretty easy.-
Steve and Gary will, anyway. I can design their human forms from scratch. (Though I'm having no luck finding stuff for the Sims 2 that's inspired by "Portal." Damn.) Dee might be a bit trickier, but I think I'll get her. And I had an idea for her stand-in family too. Though it depends on whether a certain glitch was really properly fixed --
Oh, wait, no it doesn't. I can merge the families. Never mind.
-RPD: O.o?-
Oh, right, forgot to explain what my idea actually was. . . I thought, since I was making a guy to act as Dee's "parent" before killing him off so she's adoptable, why not have him bring some pets with him? In particular, Scraps and Dinah?
-RPD: Oh, I see. And then when you kill him -- or her -- off, everyone will go to the various adoption agencies.-
Precisely! And then I can match them up with their proper families!
-TTV: I think that's a lovely idea, but what glitch were you referring to?-
Basically, back when Pets first came out, if you tried to make a family with pets right from the start, their faces could reset back to one of the defaults once you actually started playing them. I never actually found out if it was properly fixed in any of the patches. But you can make pets-only families to merge with existing ones -- Pets actually came with one, the Critturs. So yeah, I don't have to risk my customization if I don't want to.
There was something else I was gonna say, but it seems to have completely slipped my mind. Probably because Secundus!Victor and the Inkwell Secundus Sims are now doubleteaming me about RP journals. Also I have to come up with a Corpse Bridey party for the Inkwell this Thursday -- though I have an idea. . . .
