Storms Mean Days Off
Jan. 26th, 2011 11:55 pmWell, a day off -- a nasty winter storm in our area (currently pelting us with freezing rain, though it's supposed to become snow later -- we'll see) has caused CCRI to cancel all classes from 4 PM today to 4 PM tomorrow. As my classes are all morning/early afternoon, that means I have a free day tomorrow! Of course, I have to spend some of it catching up on reading/starting a paper/finishing up math homework, but hey, I think it's worth it.
-D: *patpats* Yeah, you'll be fine.-
:) Anyway, a decent day -- the weather's been horrible all day, of course, with an early dumping of snow, but I'm getting used to school again and such. I've also been keeping moderately busy on the LJ front --
save_us_alice is chatting with someone in the Nexus, while
8butterflyboy8 is fighting Nightmare Spiders loose in Secundus with an interesting young lady. I might take advantage of an extra day off to get either Victor or Dee out in
dear_multiverse -- both of them have actual questions to ask. Leaning toward Victor because it's Lewis Carroll's birthday tomorrow, and he has a Wonderland-related question.
Also, fanfic! Have three new Winter Bingo prompts, all on the shortish side:
-->glowing
-->wise men
-->donkey
-VD2: Not bad -- how close are you to your final double bingo?-
Two stories, actually. Long as they're up and posted by the 31st, I'm golden.
-DW: And then back to actual chaptered work, correct?-
That's the idea, yes. But I like the Winter Bingo thing -- prompt fic can be really fun, and I've enjoyed being able to flesh out more of Butterfly Boy's life.
Now, back to watching an American McGee's Alice Let's Play.
-HD: I thought you finished that first-person one. What's so special about this one?-
The person playing it goes by the handle March Hare. XD
-MHG: O.O-
Yeah. Also has apparently never beaten the game, so later levels should be interesting. . . .
