Happy Birthday, Emily and Victoria!
May. 26th, 2011 11:57 pmYeah, I did a combined birthday thing, both because it amuses me and because I forgot Emily Watson's birthday yet again. (This also means that practically everyone in the movie was born in May. I'm serious: five of the actors in the film have May birthdays! It is weird.) Tie-Twister wishes both his girls and the Secundus ones well, and the Secundus ones pop in to comment on what will be an upcoming Inkwell post. :p
-RPD: See you finally decided on an icon for Alice, then.-
Yeah -- I went with the first one, since it was the one I could best picture when I tried picturing making comments with her. I'm keeping the other three, though -- and if anyone needs an Alice icon, feel free to use 'em.
Anyway, today was a mall day, despite the fact I woke up to fog everywhere. >.< I forgot, we're only allowed ONE nice day in any given week. . . . I made it up to Providence Place no problem, though, and I had fun there. Got three things to take home:
-->Jingo, the Discworld novel after Hogfather (was SOOO tempted to get The Last Continent because WIZARDLY GOODNESS, but I forced myself to hold off until I've actually finished another book)
-->Another issue of "Victorian Undead" with Sherlock vs Dracula action
-->The Steampunk Bible, a compendium of a lot of steampunk info, from fashions to authors to gadgets. :D It was 25 bucks, but worth it for the awesome pictures alone.
I also hit Dave & Busters for gaming action -- I actually scored big on a couple of the ticket games. Amazing when you actually hit a jackpot. I now have 5,000+ tickets on my card. I gotta find something to get from their little store. XD And for my treat, a small Chocoholic X-Treme Blizzard from Dairy Queen. SO FUCKING GOOD.
-TD: Sounds like you had a good day.-
Yeah -- wish the weather had cooperated more, but I had fun, and I got to read plenty in Hogfather. So far, so good -- I have much hate for the Auditors, and much love for Death. :D Can't wait to see how it all turns out.
