Happy Memorial Day
May. 30th, 2011 11:38 pmIt's been sort of a busy one for me -- I made computer backups, ran a virus scan, and went shopping with Mom. Mom got a bunch of stuff, while I found myself a sports bra. Hooray for owning underwear that fits, and all that. :p After that, a lot of my time was spent going through a French site's "Alice: Madness Returns" screenshots. They've got some nice stuff, particularly from the Vale. I'm honestly excited about this game now.
-D: And to think, you were so iffy about it before.-
I know, and part of me is still a little puzzled about the story. But hey, we'll give it a chance. At the very least, we know it's gonna be one beautiful game.
Really not much else to report -- I stuck the fan in my window for the first time, so I guess we can say it's officially summer now.
-HD: *starts making iced tea*-
Also working more on the bios for
secundus_cast -- I realized the ones for Doc, Marty, and Alice could be expanded, so I did that, and I'm tweaking the others. They'll get up eventually.
-OD: *Jules* Will you be putting up any of the other information in your Notes document on this story? *Doc* Honestly not sure what she could put up that's not a full-on spoiler, kid.-
Yeah, but
8butterflyboy8 is made of spoiler, so that ship has sailed. Most of it is really just for me, but I think I might put up the completed family trees I made.
-VuM: *worried* Just, uh, don't go totally nuts this time if you decide you want to do 'em in pictures.-
LOL, no -- I'll be doing them in separate chunks this time. No more giant tangled tree messes.
Oh! And I nearly forgot -- the latest chunk I read of Hogfather featured Ponder, the Bursar (referred to as "Mr. Dinwiddie!" No, I'm not sure why him getting his last name in this book makes me so happy, but it does) and Hex, with the Bursar attempting to be crazy at Hex and Hex apparently poking fun at him. And Ridcully there for extra flavor. Have I mentioned lately how much I love Pratchett?
-VD: Enjoying the book, are we?-
Yeah -- I'm not as tied to Susan as I am to some of his other protagonists, but Death is being his usual fantastic self, and I think this is the book where stray belief leads to all sorts of unusual manifestations. . . . :D Fun times.
Okay, I think I'm gonna go a-searching for CB icons for this place again, so later.
