Yes, today is the start of the second chunk of Backie days, and today is basically all about "let's get you introduced to everybody!" We meet Marty, typical slacker teenager; Jennifer, his loving and supportive girlfriend; Marty's somewhat dysfunctional family, with a particular emphasis on his wimpy father and overweight, overly-nostalgic mother; and Biff Tannen, asshole extraordinaire. In fact, the only major character we do not meet today is Doc, and even then we hear his voice. Our 20 Minutes With Jerks, everyone, except there's only one jerk.
In other news, we didn't have any net at school for most of the day. Apparently yesterday's blackout fried something important somewhere. I did manage to get some writing done, but it did throw off my groove. Bleh. Still, I was productive -- got a bunch done on "Forgetting You," and FINALLY put up the first chapter of "Finding You" on Ao3. Now I just have to get the second chapter up in a decent amount of time.
Also, Alice was played:
Alice Progress: Just started Chapter 3 - West Peak Prison Village, "Alice: Madness Returns" (Current Dress: Caterpillar)
Yup, I remembered to switch to the DLC dress! And it really does make some of the platforming sections easier. Not having to shrink to see certain platforms is really nice. I intend to make good use of this for as long as I have it. I do think Alice is going to bleed over into November, though -- while I might be able to finish Chapter 3 tomorrow, I've still got all of Queensland and the Dollhouse to go through. Which means "Forgetting You" isn't going up anytime soon. I'm suddenly very glad I'm doing "In the Land of the Dead" -- I can always put chapters of that up while we're waiting. (Though the last chapter will have to wait until the end of "Forgetting You.")
And yes, I'm still doing NaNo this year. I'm really hoping I can get "The Tale" to "majority done" status at the least. It would be sooo nice to have some of my backlog cleared out. . .
EDIT: Aaand I post early again! *facepalm* I seriously cannot do these entries so early. LJ, I miss the days when the timestamp at the top of the entry stayed STATIC.
