Sorry For the Missed Update Yesterday
Dec. 8th, 2012 11:01 pmThere was kind of an epic, chaotic chat between me and some tumblr friends last night. I swear, I don't think I've ever seen a chat go from FUN FUN FUN to GAAAH EMOTIONS and back to FUN again so fast.
Today has been a day mostly about homework! Mainly my final project for Child Lit. I'm making a picture book about a snake girl named Abby who gets teased by her friends for having "Abby germs." And you actually have to make a BOOK -- covers, text, illustrations, the whole shebang. Mom helped me make a booklet from some paper for my book, and I've got the story all written (I plan to print it out and paste/tape the sentences in, because my handwriting is kind of fail). So it's just a matter of drawing the picture. And even though she's said they don't have to be great art, that still takes a while. Especially since I've gotta color stuff in later too. At least we have an extra day off to help finish things up. I've also been doing the final feedback sheets for my Creative Writing class. Fuuun. Although I have to admit, one of the stories is fantastic if only for the twist. :D
I did find the time to watch the latest MLP: FiM episode! So cute, and so much attention for some slightly-neglected ponies! I really wish this season was going to be longer. 13 episodes ain't enough.
Also found the time to work on "Forgetting You." Have learned another important lesson -- I don't have to follow the game mechanics exactly. I ended up "introducing" the dodge move "later in the game," so to speak, because it fit better from a story perspective. Must remember that Alice does not consider herself a video game character. Treat it like it's real, Vic!
Okay, I ought to either sketch out more illustrations or revise some of my Creative Writing fiction piece. Later!
