Tumblr was QUIET today
Jul. 29th, 2013 11:24 pmSeriously -- for most of the day, almost no activity at all. I kind of appreciate it, since I was in a rush this morning to catch up on stuff I'd missed last night (tumblr was being a glitchy ass), though it's still a bit weird. Although in two people's case, I can understand -- one of my friends has Amnesia, so naturally she's in "VIDEOGAAAAME" mode (remember how I was with A:MR?), and the other is sick to her stomach. :( So yeah.
Not much to report on today as a consequence, although I did finish up the second draft of Chapter 13 -- looking much better these days, although I'll want to give it another pass or two before unleashing it on the world. Sorry to have such gaps between chapters, but from this point out, a lot of chapters need serious rewriting to bring them up to snuff. Especially since I've added a whole subplot here with Victor and Jack Splatter, and will probably be adding more of Victor versus Bumby too. . . "Forgetting You" has evolved quite a bit since its initial conception. For the better, at least.
Other major thing I did today -- work some more on the Forgotten Vows Verse magical system. You can see a masterlist of spells (subject to some revision) and read my thoughts on enchanting things here. (Yes, I'm sort of making it a series. What can I say, it's something to write about on Mondays.) Also, Victor and Alice pic kindly made for me. I wish I had this girl's skill at cutting out figures and putting them in screenshots.
Aaand your Otherlands update: $136,110, with the news that Susie Brann and Roger L. Jackson are both on-board to come back for Alice. Unfortunately, this is only with a stretch goal of $250,000 -- 50,000 more than they need. I'm starting to worry we won't make the original goal, frankly -- there's only five days left. And we have someone starting all sorts of shit in the comments, which does not help things. Meh. Would you kill me if I linked to it again? I just really do want to see what they come up with.
And now, I take my leave, mostly because I'm sure there's things on Twitter I need to check on.
