Summer Seems to Be Sort of Here?
Aug. 6th, 2013 11:01 pmIt's still a little nippy in the morning, but it was warmer today. I just find it weird that it's still so cool for the beginning of August. It's like -- June wasn't much of summer, then July had that big old heatwave, and now we've got August being sort of fallish? I suppose I don't mind too much, given it's good walking weather and I really don't want to have to run my air conditioner constantly, but. . .I dunno. I guess I just feel like it should be hotter than this. Oh weather, why you so weird?

I know! This one's an older one, though, taking on the name "Lori." My friend Ally was talking about her on tumblr this morning, and I was just like -- "wha?" Reminds me that I ought to do something with Dee, honestly. Need to get some of my guys back into the Nexus. Just been busy with so much other stuff. . . clockwork_doc owning the Inkwell is coming up. Yes, there will be a party post celebrating it. I'm thinking cake, pie, and a "Build-Your-Own" sundae station. Because those are fun.
On the writing front, gave Chapter 14 an edit. I think it's turned out pretty good, though I want to give it another pass or so. Chapter 15 will probably take a while, since I've got to rewatch the Mysterious East and add in stuff as-necessary. I'm also probably going to end up adding a whole chapter to the story -- one focused on Victor as he tries to hunt down Alice while she's running around Queensland. It feels necessary. "Forgetting You" -- this story grows every five minutes. Not to mention the universe it's from. . . Ah well, it's a good thing in the end, I think. Better, stronger story for it.
And I probably have tags due on tumblr (hooray for feeling up for things), so yeah, later!
