Quick Update Because Outside May Go Boom
Sep. 12th, 2013 10:33 pmThey're talking thunderstorms tonight, and I think I may have just heard an early rumble, so let me quickly give you the events of the day:
-->Went in for the "resume tips workshop" at 10:30 today. It was actually run by the nice woman I'd met on my previous visit, and there were only two of us -- me and an older woman who'd recently lost her job of 26 years. It was a pretty simple class, but it gave me some good tips and some new sites to check out when it comes to job-related stuff. I'll be revising my resume a bit to tighten it up and make it more viable in today's job market.
-->Did a little computer-cleaning today -- I dumped McAfee (which I've never really liked as anti-virus software) and YouCam (which I've never used) and got myself a new free solution to viruses from Bitdefender. Freed up a little space on my harddrive and makes me feel better about my computer's safety.
-->Watched The Nostalgia Critic talk about "The Graduate," which does not look at ALL like a comedy when you're showing all the heart-wrenching scenes set to sad music. I like his analysis of the film though.
-->Prepped some stuff for
forgotten_vows to do in
mallowhallow tomorrow -- and oddly enough, it's actually rather appropriate for Friday the 13th.
And with that, I'm going to go get some more tags done while keeping an eye on the weather. Later!
