Sort of But Not Really Summery Monday
Oct. 7th, 2013 10:30 pmIt was surprisingly warm today, and humid -- but it was also cloudy and windy. With needles getting dumped all over the place from the pine tree outside. So yeah, sort of a weird mix of fall and summer. I just wish it hadn't looked like it was going to rain every five minutes. I would have taken a walk. Ah well -- we'll see if I get a chance tomorrow. Might be going in to relieve my Mom for a while again, so it might be a late one, but still.
"Alice" is going well -- at a week into the game, I'm up to Mystifying Madness. Land of Fire and Brimstone went well, despite the ever-present nastiness of Fire Snarks -- I had to quickly reload a couple of times to avoid being yanked into lava. Jabberwock timed fight went well too -- running in circles is a good strategy, in case anyone's wondering. I suffered a little damage, but not much. First part of the maze didn't go so great -- got slightly lost -- but I conquered it in the end. Two more mazes and themed levels to go, then it's off to the Queen's sanctuary. After the Jabberwock boss fight. Ugh.
Fanficcing is also going well -- got another chunk of "Card Castles In The Sky" written -- or, well, rewritten from Chapter 18 of "Forgetting You." Since the dialogue is the same between a few of the chunks, I've copied over the appropriate scenes from Victor's perspective and rewritten the stuff around the talking to match Victoria. *shrugs* Whatever works. . . I'll finish that up tomorrow, then aim for getting both bits up in a few days. Hopefully by next Sunday? *shrug* We'll see.
Anyway, got stuff to do in other places, so I'll wrap this up here. Night all!
