Plans Are In Motion

Heard back from those people running the job search workshop -- they've got a slot open, so I can start attending December 3rd. :D The thing will be broken up into two two-week chunks because of the holiday, which suits me just fine. Hopefully I'll be able to land a real job with this -- they help you find stuff to actually apply to. My own methods don't seem to be working out that well.

Most of my day was sadly spent in a state of "durrr," reading various LJ communities that provide goofy reviews of things they don't like -- including the pern series. I am now more certain than ever of my conviction to stick with only the Harper Hall trilogy as my foothold in the series. There seems to be a fair amount of -- squick -- in a number of the other books. I don't know if I could get over that, even for cool dragons. I am kind of curious to find out more about the possibly-terrible definitely-dated video game. Don't think I actually want to find a copy to play, but I probably wouldn't mind watching an LP. Hmmm. . .

We're apparently expecting a storm tomorrow -- hopefully it won't knock out the net or electricity. Particularly the latter -- I'll have the lights ON, thank you very much. As it is, I should get back to my tags. Also, note to self, STOP STAYING UP TIL TWO AM. You can only do that when you're planning to sleep in the next day. *wave of exhaustion, don't mind me*
