Of all the people that should believe in patience and tolerance for their fellow human beings. Sheesh! It's one thing when a parishoner acts that way, but it disgusts me to no end when I hear of a reverend or priest acting that way.
BTW: How did he think you could do a quick alteration? Did he think that you would just take the pants into the back room, wave a magic wand over them and recite an incantation and, Presto, they're mended? Yeah, they take time anyway, if you want a quality job. Even hemming something can take a little while, because you have to be careful not to make the hem uneven. He might be a man of the cloth, but he is also a man of very little common sense.
