More Time Lost To DragonVale

Although, again, I wasn't completely lazy: Chapter 24 of "Forgetting You" has hit the 'completed first draft' stage, and I put up Chapter 7 and Chapter 8 of "Boy Genius." Slowly but surely getting back into some sort of groove!

As for DragonVale, I just hatched my first Cold dragon, which I've named Elsa. I also hatched my Lava dragon earlier, which came with the name Deepfyre. I liked it, so I kept it. I also reached Level 11, upgraded my first treat farm and bought a second, and my plan for the night is to breed my Fire dragon Nithogg with my Flower dragon Sunny to see what results. Other goals are to save up for a Colosseum and a second island, and upgrade the other treat farm. Also friended martyfan, since she plays it -- yay gem trading. :P (If I can figure out how to do such.)

One last thing to note before I get off -- I'm doing theme days on the Victor Luvs Alice tumblr now. I've just queued my first Song Saturday. I figure this will help me figure out things to say on those days when I don't have anything to reblog and I'm feeling a bit short on ideas. As for now, though, I'm woefully behind on tumblr tags, so later all!

Thanks for the Free Stuff DragonVale!

And I'm not talking about the free roses you sent me earlier (they actually did that, btw -- a ploy to get you to sign people up, but hey, I'll take free decorations with the XP they bring). You see, there's a goal in the list about inviting friends to play with you that nets you five free gems, which are the important "speed things up/upgrade things" currency.

Well, I was poking around the Social tab to familiarize myself with things, and just for funsies I clicked around to find my friend code (5573899, for anyone curious) and what happens when you pull up the "redeem code" thing.

As it turns out, the game logs that as successfully completing the goal, even though I didn't actually put anything in. Yay, free gems! :D I'm currently saving them for emergencies/upgrades, but still, nice to have! :D
