The One Day I Don't Take My Umbrella
May. 16th, 2014 09:14 pmThey've been predicting rain all this week and been wrong every time -- except for today, when I finally didn't believe them. Fortunately I managed to avoid the worst of the wet -- it stayed dry throughout my trips up and back, except for a quick sprinkle at Kennedy Plaza, which I avoided by ducking under the roof in front of the entrance. Phew! Lesson learned, though -- always take my umbrella just in case!
A fairly quiet day in class -- I and another student ended up helping the teacher stuff envelopes because we were the only two done completely with the Word 2010 assignments. The teacher's also got me doing letterheads and footers for my typing assignments now to "slow me down." XD I don't mind at all, honestly -- that class can get boring as hell. Largely because, yes, I am racing ahead. I seem to be the one who picks up shit the fastest. Probably because I'm the youngest in the class. . . Making fancy paper stuff will at least keep me amused.
On the DragonVale front, I am now the proud owner of a Nectar, Honey, and a Dark dragon, Jabber. However, my plans for Dark hybrids have been put on hold for the moment -- DragonVale's doing a Gemstone Collection weekend, where ALL of the Gemstone dragons are available through Sunday. I have no idea WHY, but I've decided I'm gonna go for the ones that I'd otherwise have to wait a long while for -- Garnet and Turquoise first off. Keep your fingers crossed!
I also have a new favorite in Hearthstone -- Anduine, the Priest. He has a lot of low-power cards that do some pretty awesome things. Won three rounds straight against the computer. :) Once I get some more of his basic cards, I'll send him off into the wild and see how he does against real people.
Right now, though, I have a bunch of stuff to catch up with on tumblr, so later!
