Nerves Are Setting In A Bit
Sep. 16th, 2014 08:37 pmThough it's less about the job and more about how to structure what free time I have so I don't have to totally give up the stuff I like to do. I think I have some ideas -- abusing the hell out of queues for tumblr RP, for example -- but we'll see how it all stacks up against reality. At least this first week is abbreviated, and my first day will only be about six and a half hours than the full eight. I know which buses I'll be taking, I know how to get to and from work -- I should be just fine, but, well, guts take more convincing that that. ^^; Once I get used to it as the new "normal" (and have my first weekend) I think I'll be fine.
Today was kind of all about getting into the job -- Mom took me out to the Johnnycake Center to grab some extra clothes now that I'm gainfully employed. 29 bucks scored me 5 tops and another pair of pants. Added to my current set, and I should be good for a little while. We also went out to dinner at our favorite little restaurant -- I had a spinach pie with sausage, pepperoni, and olives, and yuuuuum. Dunn's Corner never lets us down. The only problem with the portions is that they're almost inevitably too large, so I've still got half my dinner in the fridge. XD I'll probably pack it up and take it as lunch tomorrow. Have to figure out the best way to carry everything. . .backpack? Bag? Hmmm. Also need another 15 Ride pass to finish out September before going monthly again. . . but I should be fine for the next couple of days. I had left over passes from my school days, so yay there. I imagine I'm all set -- just need to get the lay of the land and adjust to it as the regular schedule.
I did do SOME fun things, though:
-->Worked some more on "Remembering You" -- also something I'll have to carve out time for. Maybe right after I take my shower when I get home? Might depend on when we have dinner any particular day though. . . Still, it's a thought.
-->Played Hearthstone -- another pair of losses. Frustration~ One day I will win again! And one day I will get the cards I need when I need them!
-->No major events in DragonVale -- just getting food and making money. Though my Colosseum's slipped to evening. . .well, hopefully I can just remember to do something with it before bed.
-->In Spellfall, Temple of Water's been recaptured, which means my awesome electric sword can REALLY prove its worth. Most of the time -- I just got my ass kicked by a nasty double fight. Surprise attacks -- gotta hate 'em. At least I can be assured I will continue to remember to log in every day and get my goodies.
-->Watched Valkyria Chronicles by Helloween -- I really, really wanted to watch that today since I'll probably have to catch up on all his LPs on the weekends from now on. Good stuff, though I wish Welkin and Alicia would finally say the big "I Love You."
Okay, I think I'm going to have some dessert and watch some Unskippable, then do whatever RPing is left in the day before hitting the sack. Night all, and wish me luck on my first day!
