We just spent the 8 to 10 block watching episodes of "Halloween Wars!" :D Though we nearly missed the first episode -- last week, the Patriots had a night game, and since my Dad's a huge Pats fan, naturally he wanted to watch that instead of the show. No big deal -- every past year, they've had the previous week's episode on in the hour before the new episode. So we figured we'd just catch the first ep at 8 and the second at 9.
Except this year they've changed everything for NO REASON and now the previous episode airs at 5. Which means we tuned in, only to see an episode of "Guy's Grocery Games." All of us were pretty ticked off -- particularly me, because while the other show times mean my parents could almost certainly see the show when it aired again, I sure as hell couldn't. Mom started looking up other possibilities on her phone, and I offhandedly mentioned YouTube -- though I was pretty sure the episode wouldn't be on there, given that I've never seen a full episode of the show on there in the past.
Fortunately, that's the other thing that's changed -- the episode was there, in full, and we had just enough time to watch it before the second. We've got a fair handful of people returning who were on the show previously and lost, and wanted to redeem themselves. . .at least one of which has already left, so there's that dream shattered. The first episode didn't really see a lot of people bringing their A-game either -- we had a RIDICULOUS chicken ghost (for a Haunted Farm theme), and a cow and pig going after the farmer that looked like a Gary Larson cartoon. Things improved with this week's episode, though -- hopefully things will continue to get better as time goes on!
I'm also in a scares mood because I went ahead and marathoned Helloween's "Alien: Isolation" LP. It's actually pretty cool -- the main character is Amanda Ripley, Ellen Ripley's daughter, and she's stuck on a old, decommissioned space station with a Xenomorph after her and the remaining crew largely being assholes. I'm looking forward to seeing more sets -- which is good, as he did just upload another. *giggling facepalm* Ah well -- just need to do that and No More Heroes tomorrow. Hooray for the extra day off. . .
Not too much else to report. I'm working on that second reward in DragonVale's Candy Bash (drop rate, cooperate with meeeee), and waiting on my Tide Sword in Spellfall so I can properly take on all the fire monsters I'm expected to fight now. RP is fairly quiet, and I've still got stuff to catch up on, so I might as well do that now. Later!
