Surprisingly Productive Monday
Feb. 9th, 2015 10:21 pmHere's what I got up to:
-->Discovered apple/pineapple/papaya smoothies actually taste pretty darn good
-->Took care of all my tumblr queues, and drafted my Song Saturday post so I'll have that nice and ready for later
-->Defeated both versions of the Queen in AMA! With a minimum of death, happily -- didn't die at all in the first fight, in fact. Of course, I am totally cheap and willing to use the "power up the Jabberwock's Eye Staff's Alt Attack and damage the Queen in the cutscene" trick, but still. AMA replay -- complete! Now I can go back to A:MR's replay.
-->Figured out what was going on with The Sims 4 Outdoor Retreat! I was messing around in Origin last night, trying to figure out where the hell the game pack was even supposed to show up -- and then I clicked the informational "i" button in the "what this game is/when you last played it/want to play it now" pop-up bubble that appears when you hover over a game in your library. And there was Outdoor Retreat, waiting to be downloaded. Along with the Holiday Stuff they were giving out over the holidays, to my pleasant surprise. So now that's all installed in my game and I'm all up to date, hooray~ Still just playing with Geeker McTest as I get the lay of the land. So far I'm enjoying things -- emotions are pretty cool and I like trying to manipulate them. One complaint, though -- GEEKER TAKES AGES TO EAT. Mostly because he stops and babbles to himself after each bite. And no, he's not a crazy Sim who's supposed to do this. Might have to see if I can find a mod to stop that. . .
-->Got another chunk written on "Remembering You" -- Victor's having a consultation with Dr. Wilson (supported by Alice, Victoria, and Christopher), and I may have borrowed Clint/Hawkeye's speech about what it was like being under Loki's mind control for him in a tense moment because damn it it's too perfect. Still working out just what should occur when with this story, but that's what first drafts are for.
-->Got some replies done on Dreamwidth -- and here's a weird thing for you; I'm sporadically getting e-mails about them! Not from every thread, but Clockwork's latest sometimes pops up in my inbox. O.o I guess that's a good sign this damn "spam" thing will be resolved soon?
So yeah, been a good day. And it looks like I'm just plain back to normal schedule tomorrow, so let me just wrap up one or two last things on here, try and coax the last two food roses out of DragonVale, then hit the sheets. Later all!
