Coldest Day of the Year So Far
Feb. 20th, 2015 11:23 pmAs in, below-zero temperatures with the windchill, especially this morning -- though things weren't really any better this afternoon.
Guess whose afternoon bus home was late! And late in the most annoying way -- basically, the damn bus came around the corner toward our stop -- then turned down another street! I was livid, the guy who was waiting at the same stop called Ripta to report a possibly-new driver who didn't know his route. Then it came back around and it turned out to be a driver we knew -- couple that with hitting some patches of heavy traffic both in the city and on the highway, and now I think he was simply genuinely that late getting in. (Thus why he went down the other street -- to drop off the passengers he already had.) Still pisses me off all to hell, though. Coldest fucking day of the year, and I get to feel my toes go numb waiting for a bus that's almost always on time.
Other than that, not much to say about today. It was another typical day at work -- type type, amuse self in head, all that good stuff. Came home to Swedish meatballs and a hot shower and banana nut muffins (I had one plus a HobNob -- chocolate-dipped oatmeal cookie -- for dessert; too cold for ice cream). Did my RP queues on tumblr and my DragonVale stuff. Have discovered this weekend is NOT a double and thus I have no chance of the Omnitat, so I'm not breaking my back trying to max Roses anymore. *sigh* I guess I dunno where I would have put it anyway, but still. Backflip seems to be doing some crappy things to its players in events lately. That sneaky repricing of the second Thorn will probably be a thorn in my side for some time to come. On the plus side, I'm up a Snowflake dragon -- fourth variation -- and the damn thing came named Hans! XD If I manage to get the third and it's Kristof, I'm going to suspect conspiracy.
Anyway. Time to see if friend wishes to talk, and maybe quickly sneak in a reply or two on Dreamwidth. G'night all, stay warm!
