Surprisingly Little Work Monday
Mar. 30th, 2015 10:29 pmYeah, I had a kind-of-abbreviated day at work thanks to two factors:
-->When I got into work this morning, the servers were down, which means no internet access and no access to the shared drives -- both of which I need to do my job. Turns out there was a power surge over the weekend -- one bad enough to MELT THE THERMOSTAT in the server room. Surge protectors kept the servers themselves safe, but they all crashed as a result, and there was much rebooting this morning. I kept busy typing up a snippet of one of my AU ideas (overly-complicated alt-sexualities modern-day ot6 cuddlepile).
-->After disposing of my soda can at lunch, I spotted a notice about a special mass for the day taped to the dry-erase board we have by the door. Said notice ended with a note that the building would be closing at 4 o'clock, meaning I'd be getting out of work a half-hour early. So yeah. (And I was the first one to notice that part of the message in my office! Good thing I pointed it out to everyone.)
So not the most productive day at work, though I DID still manage 402 records. And I was able to catch a half-hour earlier bus home, which, thanks to traffic, got me back in plenty of time for a turn on the elliptical and supper before 7 o'clock, and a little extra writing (story scene for a future installment of the Forgotten Vows Verse). So that was nice. :) And time to watch Linkara too, taking on a weird/kind of dull vampire book, yay ;P
Currently just finished up tumblr queues and such, along with answering some stuff on DW and getting a document for all those AU ideas I keep coming up with ready. Also working on maxing my DragonVale eggs -- sooooo close. . . I'm ready to get the next pedestal, at least. I just hope I have enough for the next dragon!
Anyway, pretty much done here, so let me wrap things up and hit the hay. Night all!
