Ups and Downs. . .
Jun. 12th, 2015 10:34 pmThough I suppose in the end the ups triumphed -- let me give you the skinny:
-->Down: Activating my paycard only to discover a zero balance, then calling Randstad to discover I'd misunderstood something about the stop payment on my paycheck (which came yesterday after I thought it wouldn't come at all) and I wouldn't be getting my money until next week. . .
-->Up: . . .but because the stop payment ALSO wouldn't go into effect until next week, we were able to get that canceled, so my check is now good again. So I did in fact get paid for my work.
-->Down: Big accident on the highway meant the bus didn't come until 20 minutes after it should have, and I didn't get home until about a quarter after six. Irritating.
-->Up: My new job working directly for the Diocese is almost official! I got the formal offer today, which includes a nice bump up in pay, benefits, and all that good stuff. :) They gave me some stuff to read on their policies and whatnot, so I'll be looking that over this weekend.
-->Down: I've been struggling with getting Chapter 13 to work properly in edits -- nothing feels good enough, rrrrgh.
-->Up: Had a good Alice session (entering Queensland) and I think I have a plan to help with Chapter 13 -- Let's Plays.
-->Down: Also struggling tonight with concentrating on the RP thing. Well, for tumblr anyway, my Dreamwidth stuff is already drafted.
-->Up: We have a slew of "let's get it done!" videos from Hells ending his current LPs (sum-up thoughts on Bloodborne, ending sets for No More Heroes 2 and Valkyria Chronicles) that I'm planning on watching tomorrow, w0000~
-->Bonus Up: A friend of Mom's made chocolate chip cookies in honor of my getting gainful employment. :D
Yeah, I guess cookies does tip the scale to the happy side. :P Still, hoping the weekend brings some inspiration for Chapter 13, and some much-need funtimes with Helloween. Right now, I have to either get replies queued or call hiatus for tonight on tumblr. Night all!
