Weirdness and Awesome Sunday
Jun. 14th, 2015 11:09 pm-->Weird: Jupiter Ascendant and its review by the NC. This is a movie completely made of "what's going on?", seriously. O.o
-->Awesome: Steam Wars and its review by Linkara. It's steampunk Star Wars, only not really because it quickly decides to do it's own thing while using similar elements. It's more like a loving homage. Very cool-looking and full of neat stuff.
-->Weird-Awesome: Helloween's final thoughts on Bloodborne, because Victorian Gothic Cosmic Horror :D He says that while a few things are weak (namely the Chalice dungeons and the PVP, plus the fact that the world doesn't feel as big as the Souls games), it's overall amazing and one of his new top games. I can definitely see why -- I love the game too, and I look forward to sniffing out more about the lore. :)
Additional notes:
-->Been nice and warm this entire weekend -- got in a good walk today up the bike path. Ahh, I love summery weather. . .too bad it's supposed to thunderstorm tomorrow, meh.
-->After watching some of Helloween's LP of Alice in the Vale of Doom, I think I might have finally wrestled Chapter 13 into submission. We'll see when I do more editing tomorrow. I'm hoping I can have it up by Friday, but if not, well, them's the breaks.
-->DragonVale is REALLY OBSESSED with letting people know about their latest new hybrid, the Halo dragon (Air/Light). Me, I'm just wondering when the matching dark/earth devil-themed dragon will show up :P
-->Read employee policies, took notes, feeling good about job offer :)
-->Played more A:MR, am up to first squishy bit in Queensland (eeugh). Though I must admit, they really did do a good job with all the decorations and stuff in the Queen's castle. I mean, it's still all creepy as hell, but it's done very well.
-->Going out to dinner with the folks tomorrow night, since Mom's on vacation and they'll be in the city to see Jurassic World. We're not sure where yet, but hopefully we'll find somewhere good :P
And now I gotta hit the sheets, night all!
