Happy 30th Anniversary BTTF!
Jul. 3rd, 2015 10:04 pmYup, this is the big one, the one we've been waiting for all our lives! 30 years, a nice round number! :D Since I had work today -- though a shorter day than normal, I still have a pretty long ride home -- I celebrated the best I could -- changed into a BTTF shirt when I got back, reblogged a celebratory post from Rotten Tomatoes on my tumblr, watched the trailer and a couple of clips on YouTube, skimmed through some fanfic -- and now I'm writing here! Because if I'd missed the 10:04 post today of all days, well, I'd have to turn in my Backie card. :P
It's been a quiet day today, really. Bus ride in was practically empty -- most people have today off for their long weekend, you see. The Diocese is handling it differently -- we had an early dismissal at 1:30, and we get Monday off instead. Reason?
We're getting that early dismissal EVERY Friday through July and August.
So yeah, I can totally get behind that. XD And the weather was lovely today too, which was even better. Once work was done, I hiked up to Kennedy Plaza, hung out there for a bit (the park nearby has wifi now, which is nice), then grabbed the 14 instead of my usual 66 to get home. Made for an interesting change of scenery, and I was able to get in a good-lengthed walk from an early stop, so I'm happy about that. So now I've got two options for getting home on the early days. w00~
Despite being BTTF day, I also did stuff relating to my other fandoms. A:MR playthrough is going well -- I'd estimate I'm maybe halfway through the Dollhouse? I've got two out of four Radula Rooms, so. . . Area remains extra-creepy with better graphics. Guh, I hate the levers in that chapter. . .still think Bitch Babies are hilariously named, though. XD I also did some writing on Chapter 15 of "Forgetting You" -- cutting out vast slogs of description, mainly. MAN was I hung up on trying to describe the graphics the first time around. . .well, I know better now. Hopefully you'll continue to enjoy these new and improved chapters as well.
Right now, it's time to do queues! Night all! May your dreams be futurey!
