Undecided About Today

Today was -- all right, I guess. Work was pretty okay -- there were plenty of activities to fill my time, even if someone of them revealed problems we hadn't noticed before. Got out at the nice early time, and proceeded to go to lunch with my parents at one of the ten thousand pizza places in the Providence area along -- Caserta's. We had a Wimpy Skippy (spinach pie with cheese, pepperoni, and black olives) and a large cheese, pepperoni, mushroom and olive pizza with the intent that we'd eat some there and take the rest home for dinner (which we did). Mom was all excited to go, since she hadn't been there since she was in her 20s at the latest -- apparently it was much like she remembered it, only "smaller" (she thinks that's because it was pretty empty when we got there, and she recalls it crowded) and with new lamps and a slight new paint job (one wall red instead of white). The food was -- well, it was tasty enough, but I'm quite certain I get better food at home. I was not really impressed with the Wimpy Skippy at all -- the crust was way crunchier than I liked, and Mom suspects they used canned spinach. Also, spicier than I expected -- I am not a fan of spicy food. Pizza was fine, but it tasted better once we got it home and Mom could add some sausage and peppers to it. Still, it was a decent, quick meal, and I'm glad to have gone at least once.

After that, we went to Best Buy to pick up a TV antenna that ended up not working out, then it was back home where Mom started having to deal with work issues. . .yeah, the day kind of went downhill at that point. Not to mention the prophecized thunderstorms never arrived, meaning it's STILL hot and muggy as hell. We'll see what tomorrow brings, I guess. . .

I've been out in my room's AC pretty much since we got home. Did a final edit pass on Chapter 17, and checked out the new theme for the Dragon Faire in DragonVale -- Boulderlight, being Earth and Light-themed. Also Burcadia-themed, offering prizes like a new Monolith Dragon, the Lost Island from the first Egg Hunt, Farry's Wheel (which is such a cool decoration), and the Vernal Glass -- which is NOT checked off in my prizes despite me owning one. O.o Ookay. . .well, still one less thing to budget tickets for.

And now I've just finished up the tumblr queues and am about to do the DW round-up -- night all, see you tomorrow!
