Keeping It Short. . .
Aug. 31st, 2015 10:37 pmBecause my period showed up today midwork (though again, I got lucky as I caught it just as it started and we have the appropriate products in the women's bathrooms), and up until I got home and could take some painkillers I was not only dealing with cramps but the headache from hell. >.< I was honestly wondering if I would be able to do queues tonight, but once the medicine kicked in, I felt good enough to go ahead and spit the replies in there during dash catch-up. And my DW stuff was done during my lunch break/afternoon snack, so those are all set -- hooray for that. And hooray for our non-name-brand pain medicine, it really does work.
Not too much to report anyway -- quiet day at work because both my supervisor and the regular receptionist were out (latter took the day off, former had car trouble that stopped her coming in). We did have some excitement in the morning with the printers not working, but they managed to fix that just before lunch. Didn't feel up to messing too much with "Card Castles" & Chapter 17 tonight, so I just opened the former and cleaned up a little of the action in the section where Victoria encounters Victor in the Bow Street Station. The heat and humidity have indeed returned, so I'm back to hiding in the air conditioning. And I finally hatched my Fifth Monolith egg -- and in keeping with my "name them after Discworld Watch characters," this one has been dubbed Carrot. XD
All right, time to throw up the DW stuff, then hit the sheets -- I need an earlier night thanks to the blood leaking out of me. Sleep tight, all!
