crossover_chick: Victor on the ground with one hand up with the text "Nooo! Anything but the fangirls!" (CB: save Victor from the fangirls!)
The strongest stuff the bartender's got! Exploding fuel injections! Doc getting involved in planning new ways to get the DeLorean up to 88 miles per hour and forgetting they're on a time limit! Doc looking messily adorable as he comes up with the train idea! The tale of Fearless Frank Fargo! Getting steam trains up to 90! Shonash Ravine! The saving of Clara Clayton! The infatuation of Doc Brown! Doc being a silly puppy around Clara, much to Marty's annoyance! The realization that they've changed history! The question of if Marty would still want Strickland (because you know he's his least-liked school official) to fall into the ravine if he'd never heard the Clayton story!

The answer is yes, by the way.

Last summer hours day at work -- pretty quiet, overall. I did a lot of roster maintenance. After work was interesting, though -- my mom called me up just as I was starting and asked if I wanted to go visit the Crescent Park Looff Carousel in East Providence. Apparently they'd taken me there when I was just a baby, only to be stymied by the thing undergoing renovations. I was up for the trip (especially since it meant avoiding the bus and I was promised ice cream as well), so when work ended I found the car and off we went!

To find the carousel closed.

Yup -- apparently the people Mom called to confirm it was open lied to her (though I have no idea if it was intentional "get her off the phone" or simple "I think this is right"). I've done some Googling, and it appears that it's only open weekends in September, but that's not immediately obvious even if you go to their page on the East Providence website. At any rate, Mom was pretty pissed, and nobody can blame her (especially since she was also called in to work this afternoon when she was supposed to have the day off). So we piled in the car and headed for home the long way around. We did get our ice cream, though -- stopped off at a Newport Creamery and got some sundaes. I had a two-scoop brownie sundae with cookies-and-creme ice cream, hot fudge, walnuts, whipped cream (or, well, rather-too-shaken whipped topping from a can), and a cherry. Om nom nom, let me tell you. Dad and I dropped Mom off at her job, and then it was home time.

I almost immediately left to take a walk to work off some of the calories from the ice cream. XD It was a really nice day outside too -- cooler and MUCH drier -- so I wanted to enjoy it some. After that and a shower was writing -- up to Victoria berating Victor for not speaking up about his feelings for Alice in CCitS -- then catching up with things online. And, after supper, a venture into Sims-land, where I built a simple house of styled rooms for my new Valice couple to live in. I think it's set up better than their old one, though Alice doesn't have her separate "art studio" anymore -- eh, sacrifices. At least now they don't necessarily have to walk through the bathroom to get to the rest of the house from the bedroom. XD

So! Now the name of the game is tumblr queues (which should be a LOT easier now that I've learned what was keeping me from properly updating my editable reblogs tweaks) and catching up with anything else that needs catching. *nods* G'night folks!
