Shoe Saturday

That's what the majority of my afternoon was spent doing, anyway -- shopping for new work shoes, since my old pairs are shot all to hell. We eventually found two pair that fit me and were comfortable -- black regular shoes and brown short boots. About $90 all told. We also stopped by Newbury's -- I saw BTTF Monopoly, but didn't get it (was tempted to, but we don't play a lot of board games in our house, sadly). Mom found a couple of funny fridge magnets though, so that was nice. Then it was a stop by Wal-Mart to pick up some food (ingredients for apple muffins and a chocolate cream pie my mom decided on a whim to make), and then home via the long way so Mom could show me a BTTF-style DeLorean an auto-body shop keeps locked up on their property. I suppose I can understand them doing that when it's not in use, but according to Mom, they never even drive it around. Isn't that half the fun of owning a car like that? *sigh* At least I got to see it.

Rest of the day has mainly been writing on Chapter 20 (reworking the asylum section still, making stuff more active and perhaps even a little creepier); catching up on SOMA (turns out you CAN die in that game -- Helloween found out the hard way); playing DragonVale (managed to max out yesterday's candy grab, but I doubt I'm going to do so again -- 2,000 is just too hard to get to with the available ways to earn!); playing Sims 4 (got a start on Victor and Alice -- my first experience with the new welcome wagon!); and vacuuming. I only just got to working on the RP scene. I haven't even caught up on my personal tumblr, yikes. Really busy day was really busy -- fortunate tomorrow I don't have to go anywhere.

Anyway -- gonna work on doing a bit more of that "catching up." Night all!
