crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)
Had a pretty decent day today -- thought it was supposed to rain, but the weather actually got all that over with last night, so I was able to get out for a lunchtime walk! Dunno if it got as warm as they promised, at least in Providence, but I had to take advantage of the fresh air. I think after this week, it's gonna start being "high in the 40s" regularly, and that's just a bit too cold for walks. :(

Anyway, got a bunch of stuff at work done, AND managed to avoid a super-late bus home -- by taking a super-late bus. How does that work? Well, the super-late bus I grabbed was apparently the 4:15 bus, held up by an accident outside the city. So I ended up getting on the bus EARLIER than normal (just by a few minutes), and thanks to the guy taking a different route out of Providence, I arrived home pretty much normal time. Very much appreciated, especially after the annoying "20 minutes late" business yesterday. I also got my Comet in DragonVale -- and it's a twin no less! :D So that's nice. Yay new Galaxy dragon (oh yeah, I gotta get the next habitat too. . .)~

I made a start on Chapter 23 of "Forgetting You" after supper -- a very stop-start as I struggled to clean up the beginning of the chapter, but still a start. I think I'll do better tomorrow now that I've established my groove. And Rythian grabbed the memory I'm writing about for that first section, so that helps too. Watching LPs helps me figure out how Alice is moving through these spaces and how best to convey it -- it's handy! Even if it does slow down my writing a bit. . .well, better to be slow and good than fast and crappy. And at least I can be quite sure I'll have this damn thing done by the end of the year. 2016 WILL be the year of "Remembering You," come hell or high water!

Right now, though, what comes is catching up on DW replies (just did tumblr ones -- what few there were). Night all!
