Help The Bed's Taking Over My Room

I'm not even kidding -- my new bed arrived today and it is FUCKING HUGE. I mean seriously! I tried to get a picture and simply couldn't get a good angle because it was too big! This is partly because it's a double (I was sleeping in a twin before) and partly because it has a bunch of big shelves underneath it for storage. I mean, I thought I had a handle on the size when we went out shopping last Wednesday, but trust me -- IT'S FUCKING HUGE.

Naturally, some changes had to be made to my room -- I lost the bookcase that was serving as storage next to my desk, and said desk was shoved so it's more or less in the corner now. My room is now basically just this giant bed with a strip of floor around it. I've managed to find a place for all my displaced stuff, but this is going to take some getting used to no matter how you slice it. Mom promises I should sleep better, at any rate. . .

Not much else to report -- the mild chaos I came back to at home (had to clean up my desk so it was usable, plus put some other stuff away) meant I got on late, so no writing, unfortunately. I thought I was going to have to call a hiatus evening on tumblr, but it turned out I had like nothing to reply to anyway, so I was able to set up some queues. Have some DW stuff to answer too, but not much, so I can just throw that out and then hit the sheets. Work was better than yesterday -- fewer problems, and that billing file I was having trouble with has been conquered, so yay. Don't have to worry about that until the end of the month now. Weather was pretty miserable, but you can't have everything.
