It My Birthday

Which was pretty quiet, for the most part -- I ended up waking up both earlier and later than normal. Full bladder got me up at 7:30, but then I went back to bed and ended up getting up at 10:30. Whoops. ^^; Dad got me a nice chocolate chocolate chip muffin for breakfast, which I whacked in half because the ones from the grocery store are huuuge. Breakfast for two days, yay. Then most of my morning was spent working on a personal story (birthday present to myself, in a sense), and the early afternoon catching up on my Helloween4545 vids -- the next Berserker set and the Resident Evil: Revelations 2 stuff (which just gets sillier and sillier, especially when Helloween makes some stupid if really funny decisions). I also managed to get the last 10 Thursday Charloft prompts for Butterfly Boy up on my website! That wraps up that business -- I think I'm gonna start the new year with a "oh hey look at all this fic you can read" post for both Forgotten and Butterfly Boy, then get to work on the Winter Bingo for the latter once January's in full swing.

And then, after Mom got home (and the Pats lost to the Jets in overtime, meh), it was present time! They'd already given me the big present of my new desk chair (which is really delightfully cushy), but I also got:

Both very much appreciated :D And then it was off to Dave & Buster's! We hit some traffic coming in, but the trip was mostly stress-free. We had a nice meal there -- I got another Philly cheesesteak, om nom nom -- and even got dessert! I got the Brookie Sundae Tower -- which is a pair of combo brownie/chocolate chip cookie bases with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on each, drizzled with chocolate and caramel sauces, and topped with whipped cream and a cherry, balanced on top of each other via a skewer. I actually thought I was getting just ONE Brookie and that the picture showing two was just a fun way to show it off -- but nope! I ate about one and a quarter -- delicious as hell, but two is just too much for one person. If I get it again next year (assuming it's still on the menu), I'm gonna split it with Mom or Dad. And after that it was hitting all the games -- I beat Mom in Mario Kart, but she beat me at Pac Man Battle, so it's all good, I suppose. Got to hit almost all of my favorite games, which is the important bit. :)

Of course, the one problem with having been out most of the day is that we got home around 8:30, and between taking a shower, catching up on tumblr, making sure I did a twitter post for VictorPlush (since I've been neglecting that), and making sure I got all my iceberries on DragonVale (which I did, happily -- and my dragon gift was the Procyon, which was awesome) -- well, RP replies are just not happening tonight, sadly. I do have a couple of messages I need to answer (particularly DarkCountess's regarding her gift fanart for me (warning, NSFW!)), but after that, I really need to hit the sack. I so wish I had tomorrow off. . .but nothing doing. At least it's another short week.
