Maintenance Day

Lot of records to update, merge, and generally fiddle around with at work today. While it can get boring sometimes, it's honestly what I'm best at over there, so I'll take it. Fridays never go by fast anyway.

Finished off Chapter 7's rough draft in "Remembering You" today -- probably gonna end up expanding it out a bit when I go over it again. It feels a tad rushed at the moment. But I think I hit all the major beats that I wanted to, which is the main thing. Next up, I should probably bring Radcliffe back into Alice's life and wrap up that loose thread. Need to also consult my little story map. . .very glad I made that, it helps a lot when I'm wondering what to do next. I don't expect this to be a particularly long story -- it only covers November/some early December (depending on how I decide to space things out), and the main focus is wrapping up a few plot threads from "Forgetting You" and getting Victor's memories back. "Fixing You" is the next "epic" in the series. But it should at least break ten chapters. We'll see. If all goes well, you'll be getting a spit-polish version of Chapter 2 this upcoming Friday.

Some interesting things for this weekend -- BTTF.com's having a Leap Year Sale, so I might go ahead and order the fifth comic to get 10% off. And DragonVale's released a new Double Leap Year dragon for the occasion, so we'll have to see if I can breed it. It's a Rainbow, so it's just "throw four elements together and hope for the best." Wish me luck!
