Finally Friday
Mar. 11th, 2016 10:44 pmWasn't too bad a day, really -- in fact, it avoided that usual Friday trap of dragging on because I've run out of things to do. Today, instead, was all about maintenance and adding in new people -- over 50 of them, in fact. Fortunately my supervisor reminded me we'd faced this exact problem with CAP and set up an import for it, so it was just a matter of editing that file so it would do people with pledge parishes instead, and voila! So that's that problem solved, hooray.
Weather was also decent -- a slight nip in the air, but maybe that's just because I work in a breezy part of Providence. Mom and Dad claim it got up to 70F here, so who knows? I'm just glad it was sunny and I could get in some walking time. I need to get back into that habit. Be easier after tomorrow, I suppose, since we spring forward in the wee hours on Sunday.
The "Legendary" Egg Hunt (that's the name for it this year in DragonVale) is going well -- first double weekend right off the bat, which I thought was odd for a moment until I realized yes, it does actually make the next one line up with Easter. Managed to max on the first day, which is pretty rare for me. I'm thinking I'll buy the new habitat with my eggs once I finish collecting them tonight/tomorrow morning, then I'll start working on saving for the Chrysalis dragon. And then. . .well, apparently you can breed the others if you have the right combos, and that co-op cave is just sitting there. . . Currently using it as a second attempt at getting a 5th Monolith pedestal -- why do they all have to look alike. . .
And I got about another page done on "Remembering You" -- Nan being a bit gloaty about having guessed right about Victor and Alice's feelings for each other. Which, to be fair, she has every right to be. Looking forward to the actual lunch itself, especially since Nanny's mentioned marriage, which is putting Nell on-edge. . .
But right now, it's tag catch-up time -- night all!
