Happy -- Non-Easter
Mar. 27th, 2016 11:13 pmAs in we didn't do anything to celebrate the day. I didn't even get a chocolate bunny. I am faintly saddened by this, but only faintly. We're not religious (despite where I work) and I got my favorite kind of Easter candy -- those Cadbury chocolate mini-eggs with the candy shells -- a couple of weeks earlier, so I can't complain.
Another thing I can't really complain about -- not getting on Sims 4 today. I meant to, but instead I ended up binging on some YouTube videos I wanted to watch. I swear, it is just too easy for me to lose track of time when it comes to certain things. . .however, I also didn't get on because I got both a birthday fic for a friend AND a new page on "Remembering You" describing Fixxler's shop and introducing the man himself done, so yay there! I was productive in one area of my life, at least!
Caught up on Helloween's Fatal Frame LP (samey shit is samey) and his "You May Well Be Wondering" on a new game out on Steam, Slain! (hack-slasher in 16-bit 2-D style -- art design is amazing, cool soundtrack, and I thought the combat looked fun). The videos I binged on were about a game I saw on TV Tropes, Yandere Simulator, where you play as a girl who is -- well, a yandere. You have to eliminate all your rivals for your Senpai's affections before you confess to him. The guy making it says there's going to be nonviolent ways to do this, but of course all the stuff in the build right now center around various forms of murder, kidnapping, and bullying. Fun, right? Yet I found going through the update videos strangely addictive. I don't know why, I'm sure as hell not imagining a situation like that for Victor and Alice. . . *shrug* My brain is just weird sometimes.
And now I have to go to bed, because back to work tomorrow. And I have a dentist appointment to look forward to on Saturday, joooy. At least it's just a cleaning, and I don't have to wake up TOO early for it. Hell, if the weather's nice enough, I might hike up to the mini-mall afterward and see about spending my $25 gift certificate from Christmas. I'll need more Pratchett soon!
Anyway -- good night!
