Freaking Weird Weather Today
Apr. 3rd, 2016 11:15 pmI woke up to it snowing -- a pretty good clip, too, but none of it was sticking. I was informed that when Mom went to work, it was looking almost like a blizzard was coming, but then all the snow melted away again. Throughout the day it was sunny, then snowy, then sunny again, then snowy, then sunny AND snowy, and -- yeah. Couple that with the wind whistling around like crazy and it was a good day to stay inside and binge on Helloween videos. Fatal Frame remains a "meh" game, though Helloween's saltiness about it being so is quite amusing. Call of Cthulhu remains a cool game despite its age, and Helloween's various fails are always hilarious. XD Gonna be sorry to see it go -- suppose I could watch the original LP, but I'm not sure if I could go to potato quality after this.
In my own gaming life -- yesterday was Sims 4 and Eric Embers the copper time. He did the other half of his tutorial days -- we went out on patrol, then headed out and arrested a suspect in another case. He did well enough to be promoted to full Officer, though the process of issuing citations while on patrol eludes me (the game just gave me the goal when I got tired of waiting around for crimes to be committed and went back to the station). Ah well, crime scenes are the real bread and butter of this game anyway. . . Today was more Portal -- which was navigating the maze of backstage Aperture and getting killed by turrets, mainly. Oh, and having to REALLY CAREFULLY get a rocket launcher to break shit for me. I stopped in a room that quickly turns into turret hell -- got in there, saw the turrets appear, and went "NOOOPE." XD We'll save that for next weekend.
On the writing front, I got another chunk done on "Remembering You," ending Chapter 10 with Alice giving Victor pictures of all her weapons. Chapter 11 will have Victor finally busting through the wall, and we'll end with Victor and Alice's first kiss! And Victor back on the piano, because the poor guy needs it. I also got another set of Winter Bingo prompts up -- just three more to go! After that I think the only prompts left might be "A Week of Secundus Christmas," and -- yeah, I'll probably hold off until December for those. :P Have to come up with some new ideas for my Secundus Sunday. . .
And I just did tumblr queues and answered all my RP tags on DW, so I'm in good shape, I think. Now if only I didn't feel mildly blah. . .don't think it's sickness, though. Ugh, I hope the red curse just comes and goes quietly this month. . . At any rate, time for bed. Night!
