The Saturday of Catching Up

Because I was seriously lazy last night (to the point of not even opening my e-mail) -- fortunately I've managed to do it, more or less. Helps that I'd already watched NC take on "Pinky, Elmyra, and the Brain" on Thursday (he says that it's not exactly a good show, but it's not nearly as bad as the premise would make you think). Today was Linkara day, with him looking at the "Blackest Night" event. His verdict? Good, but with some twisty logic and extremely annoying bits. I agree with him on the whole "not resurrecting everyone" bit -- it WOULD have made for a good "reboot-but-not-really," giving a lot of old heroes a chance for a fresh start. But that's not DC's way, I guess. . .

Anyway, rest of the day was dedicated to getting caught up on tumblr shenanigans and other items of interest I'd missed out on last night. I also wrote some more on "Losing You" (Dr. Wilson continuing to be nice to Victor) and played some Portal bonus maps (managed to get through "the floor is lava" version of Chamber 13, but I failed horribly at the "least footsteps" version of it I tried). So a fairly low-key day, but a productive one. I even got a nice surprise in the form of Nebbychan's fifth part of the CinderVictor story. Always good to see Nell, Barkis, and Bumby get wrecked. XD And Victor and Alice getting to share a few happy moments together.
