Early Start, Early Finish
Jul. 18th, 2016 10:35 pmGot into work at 8 AM and just started because we wanted to get the final numbers going for all the parishes and such -- nothing too major to put on, it turned out, just a few last-minute payments and all that. So final reports are in full-swing and will be sent out by my returned coworker, yay~ Especially good since my supervisor and I will be at that CAP Expo tomorrow most of the day -- trying not to be nervous at the little presentation I'm giving. Eeep.
But yeah, getting in and starting work at eight allowed me to leave at four, and to my shock the 4:08 bus was actually a little early of all things! We didn't encounter too much traffic on the way home either, so yeah. I'll be doing much the same tomorrow (as I'll be getting in early to check out the expo area and equipment and suchlike), and I'm seriously considering making this a regular thing. I mean, I can't HELP but get in early thanks to my bus schedule -- might as well take advantage of it, right? (If you're wondering what I've been doing so far, basically either a) taking an early walk or b) checking my personal e-mail. Which are other ways of taking advantage of it, but having an earlier finish might just be worth it.)
Finished off Chapter 7 of "In The Land of the Dead" tonight with my bit of extra free time -- hacked out large hunks of the original chapter and replaced them with better versions and less silly ideas. Seriously, what possessed me to have Arthur and Lorina stay behind that first time. . .ah well. Next up is the London chapter, and Lizzie's run-in with poor Farley. More angst for everybody!
Not much else to say -- another hot and sticky one, though at least we avoided the severe thunderstorms going through Massachusetts. Tomorrow through Thursday is supposed to be better, then Friday gets hot and sticky again. . .we're having an abundance of boiling weekends. I suppose I can't complain, I got air con and I prefer the hot to the cold.
So yeah -- time to take care of a few last things, then off to bed! Night all!
