Not So Hot Sunday
Jul. 24th, 2016 11:06 pmAs in it was literally not as hot -- ten degrees cooler, in fact, and less muggy. I had my air conditioner off for a good portion of the day, and even took a walk! Ended up really hot and sweaty at the end of it, but hey, exercise, it's a good thing. Also got the vacuuming done, since I didn't yesterday -- easier when it's not 1 million degrees and the air's thick enough to cut.
Vast majority of the day was spent catching up on Helloween's videos:
-->Brief World of Warcraft thing showing off some new content in a new patch -- demon hunters look pretty cool, I gotta say.
-->End of the Vampire: the Masquerade -- Bloodlines stuff, with Alice the Malkavian freaking out over the cabdriver, then going to kick Ming Xiao and Sheriff ass. Helloween went with the "Lone Wolf" ending at first again, but then abused save games to show off the "protag opens the sarcophagus" and "protag sides with Max and the Camarilla" endings, plus the opening of the "protag sides with Nines and the Anarchs" ending (he didn't have time to show the relatively minor change to the ending cinematic for that one). Cool stuff! I'm sad to see the game go, but at least now I've got it installed so I can play it myself!
-->Extra-brief tribute vid to 30 years of Metroid! I'm not a Metroid fan, but I always think it's cute when he gets a bit fanboy.
I also wrote/edited some more on Chapter 8 of "In The Land of the Dead" -- changed up Farley's big revelation to Lizzie about Dr. Bumby running Houndsditch (and what he does to the kids there) some, though all the basics survived. Poor Lizzie. . .I comfort myself with the knowledge that she'll get one over on the bastard soon enough.
Sims 4 was also played -- nothing too exciting on Marty and Jennifer's end, though Jennifer caught them a goldfish. I bought them a bowl so they could keep it as a pet. Marty also made C-Lister in his career track, which meant a pay raise and a fun (if tiny) new rug, so I fulfilled one of his other whims too and built them a little pool. Because pools are cool.
And now I'm finishing up with tumblr queues and FF.net PMs -- gotta get to bed sooner rather than later! Work tomorrow, though hopefully it'll once again be 8 to 4. . . Keep your fingers crossed the bus is kind! Night all!
