New Year's Eve Eve
Dec. 30th, 2016 11:26 pmWhat, I saw stuff on tumblr talking about Christmas Eve Eve, so why not? :P Was a pretty quiet day for me -- the parents were out most of the day shopping and looking at some houses (some more added to the list, some others struck off), and they got back late enough that I didn't have a driving lesson. I'll be going out tomorrow afternoon instead. I spent my morning playing on my iPad and doing some vacuuming -- the upstairs hall rugs really needed it, and I figured I could give the living room a quick pass too. Even did my room -- needed it, and so long as I had the vacuum. . .
After that, I did a little writing on Chapter 9, had my lunch with Helloween's latest Dead Space set (brief, fairly painless turret shooter section, followed by an Executioner section (aka something you can't kill stalking Isaac through the ship), followed by a dumb death to one of the weaker enemies because Helloween wasn't paying attention XD), did some more writing on Chapter 9, went and helped my parents put the groceries away, and did some MORE writing on Chapter 9. XD Yes, well, I got to a page in the end. And an important moment for Victor, which was nice. Asked the folks on tumblr to weigh in on the amount of Alice's inheritance I decided upon -- someone actually told me they thought it was a bit too LOW. Not expecting that. . .they also mentioned trust funds for keeping Alice's remaining cash safe, which is good info and I'm adding it into the chapter. *thumbs up* So I might actually up the amount of Alice's inheritance slightly in the end. Don't want to take it too much over a thousand pounds, though. I know the Liddells were pretty well off, given Arthur's job, but a) I don't want to accidentally make them uber-rich, and b) Alice WAS committed for ten years, and her lawyer is implied to have "borrowed" some funds for his own use. Also c) I'm pretty sure it says in supplemental material her inheritance isn't supposed to be that great. . . More research may be needed.
Other major accomplishment of the day: playing Sims 4, scoring Geeker a promotion and getting Chell and Wheatley flirting with each other! :D My Chelley ship is good to go! Very good, in fact, as both of them had whims to woohoo with each other shortly after getting Flirty. XD Apparently Sims 4 approves of Valice and Chelley as ships, and all other romantic relationships can fuck off. Sorry, Emmett -- I'll figure out SOMETHING, I promise! But yeah, a good day there for them. And I should be able to visit my OTP sometime this weekend too -- ring in the New Year with them. :)
