I had a to-do list for today, and I managed to check off pretty much every item! :D For your edification:
-->Go driving -- got that done not long after I woke up. Drove off to Elmwood Avenue, where we did some lane changing practice, then went around Roger Williams park for backing up/general driving practice. Then we ended up coming home via a bunch of side streets. Pretty good drive, even if it highlighted I can be a little overly nervous about changing lanes when I have to do it fast. (I'm just always worried something's going to happen. . .)
-->Start "Secundus 2: Weird Weird West" -- did that right before lunch! Got about a page and a half on it, which was nice. :) Already setting up the main gist of the plot and the change of location for it -- as I've probably mentioned, this one takes place largely in Hill Valley, and features Marty finally marrying Jennifer. We also have the Clara subplot from BTTF III showing up, but that comes in later. I also think I have a workable schedule for balancing this, "Fixing You," and my other projects. On my main tumblr, VictorLuvsAlice, I have Forgotten Vows Fridays and Secundus Sundays. Keeping in the spirit of that, I figured I should work on "Fixing You" on Fridays and "Secundus 2" on Sundays. This led to the following schedule:
Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday: "Secundus 2"
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: "Fixing You"
Saturday: Wildcard day for other projects (AU Thursday snippets and "The Technicolor Phase" currently)
I probably won't follow it religiously -- I mean, day one has already broken the schedule, but I promised myself I'd start "Secundus 2" on November 1st in honor of "Secundus" being a NaNoWriMo project -- but it's a good framework, at least. Should keep both stories going at a decent pace.
-->Play BioShock -- I've made it to Olympus Heights! And Fontaine's continued shrinking of my health bar is freaking annoying when I'm having to fight Splicers. >( Not to mention there's a lot of super-hard-to-hack stuff that requires me to use automatic hacking tools if I don't want to spend all day hacking one vending machine. . . At least once I finally take care of the local Big Daddies and save the Sisters, I should have enough ADAM to finally open all my tonic slots and use some of the better stuff I have. If I survive that long. . .
-->Clear out my YouTube Watch Later queue -- The videos were building up, so I figured, might as well take care of them, right? Most of them were silly stuff like OutsideXtra videos, and KubzScout videos on Yandere Simulator, but I was also able to watch Linkara's latest AT4W episode. Featured a fun if occasionally not-so-great comic (Freddy vs Jason vs Ash -- great fight scenes, not-so-great artwork. . .plus Ash smooching teenagers, which is a bit of a questionable choice. Not positive what the age gap is, but I'm reasonably sure Ash is in his twenties.) The plotline portion was good too -- Linkara may be tired of the mental stuff, but I like a good battle inside the mind, and there was some fun stuff in this one. Plus some heartfelt stuff. He's stated he's taking a break from storyline for a bit, since the way Contest of Champions is set up allows him to do that, but I'm looking forward to when it comes back. :)
Okay, and now I've got to get to bed -- two more days of work before the weekend proper starts! Feels like I'm having another Monday near the end of the week. . .eh, I can deal. Nice to have a day off to get this stuff done. Night all!
