crossover_chick: a vampire version of Alice Liddell and a human Victor Van Dort kissing (SIMS: Vamp!Alice and Victor Smooches)
Yes, Alice has finally reached the penultimate level of vampirism (there's one more to go, Grand Master), and gotten her Perfect Sun Resistance power, so she won't automatically die in the daylight! So I'm officially free to move onto other families in my Sims game. :p Not that I've MINDED playing an extended tour of the Van Dorts, but it's probably a good idea to give everybody else some time to shine now. The Van Dort marathon lasted for eight in-game days, so I'm thinking I might give everybody else four or five so they can get a jump start on some of their goals. I already know what I want to do for two families -- I'm gonna have the McFlys try for a second kid (yes, I'm planning on juggling a toddler and a baby, then two toddlers, at once), and I'm gonna have Chell finally start her bakery (I'm thinking I'll have her buy a cheap lot, then build a little booth where she can sell cupcakes and bread). Maybe I should just switch to doing at least two days for each family when I play them from now on -- I think I have a little more fun that way. I'm also probably going to be doing more house redecorating/renovation in the future -- so much inspiration from build videos! I spent way too long today updating Victor and Alice's wallpaper, adjusting their clutter, and wondering why it was so hard to find a good bookshelf! Ah well, at least it paid off, and their house looks even better now. In my opinion, anyway.

I do seem to have a problem with taking too many pictures, though -- I'm trying to get all the pictures ready for my next Sim update, and -- well, I've resigned myself to the fact that it's going to be a three-parter, not two, but I'm STILL struggling to keep it within those bounds! I have five slots left, but six pictures I want to show. . .maybe we don't need that second picture of Alice mind-controlling everyone at the dance party. . .

Anyway, I did things other than Sims today:

-->Did another page on "Secundus 2" -- Buford and Gordon have managed to escape justice, much to the main characters' consternation. Ah well, there will be other opportunities. Gonna switch back to the villains' perspective briefly, then it's picnic time -- and time to finally get Doc and Clara together!

-->Watched some sneak peeks of the Super Bowl commercials with the parents over lunch (not impressed), then we had a brief marathon of some hilarious classic Doritos commercials. XD They really don't make 'em like they used to. . .

-->Watched a guy going down nostalgia lane and play The Sims and The Sims 2. Kinda shocking to see how jagged the second game's graphics are these days. . .but man, I still miss those "important moments" cutscenes we used to have for things like aging up, having babies, and going to college. Classic stuff.

-->Watched "The English Simmer" do a twist on the "black and white build challenge" (where you change your monitor to black and white and then try to build a decent-looking house) -- she made a Sim in "black and white" mode! Said Sim came out pretty well in the end, though a few of the clothing color choices weren't great. (Namely, she picked far too dark shoes for two of the outfits.)

-->Watched another episode of "Wags To Riches" -- the ghost cat is gone, via the method of restoring him to life and then sending him off to be adopted. James also got another kitten to sell via breeding, and did a little running of his vet clinics. Life continues to be fairly chaotic for his Sim (particularly with one of her cats running away again), but at least she's still making money. Always important in a Rags To Riches series.

-->Watched the last couple of sets of Helloween's run through the Dark Souls 3 Ringed City DLC. Had the return of an old "friend," dragon-slaying, the world ending in a very final way (all is ashes and sand), and an absolutely stellar boss fight to end it all. Although the commenters suggest Hells isn't quite done, so maybe we'll get an epilogue set. Either way, it's been a great journey through these games -- and hey, Hells has said he's interested in doing the original Dark Souls Remaster, soooo. . . :)

-->Watched the very first set of Hells's new Silent Hill 2 LP! The classic -- which he's barely played and knows very little about! So this'll be interesting. :D Already it's a ride into creeptown with the monsters popping up. I'm really looking forward to seeing where this goes. Unfortunately I didn't have time to get to the other two sets he's uploaded, but I'm planning on carving out time for them during the week. Trying to lessen the video marathons I need to get through on weekends.

-->Watched a bit of the Super Bowl -- Mom made a delicious dinner, with plenty of leftovers. :D I'm taking some for lunch tomorrow, and the rest we'll have next weekend. Sadly, the Pats lost, though they gave it the good old college try. Always next year!

-->Did the Valice Multiverse queue -- not too taxing, which was nice. Also cleared out my inbox, which is also nice.

Okay, I'm gonna finish off these pictures, then I'm going to bed. Work again tomorrow. *sigh* Just two more weeks until a three-day weekend. . .just gotta keep pushing on through.
