crossover_chick: Doc looking very sarcastically over his shoulder (BTTF: in a sarcastic mood)
Kind of sums up how I've been feeling about work lately -- I do a lot, and yet I don't feel like a lot gets done. Mostly because we're still struggling with the new database system. That GL is just -- a pain in the ass, I swear. Especially when things don't add up because our processing company doesn't actually complete a batch they were doing on Friday. >( I just -- want to get this nonsense out of the way so we can get onto other things. Plus I'm still fielding auditor questions. *sigh* Glad this is a short week -- I suspect it's going to be a tough one.

Afternoon was all right, at least, although the traffic is already getting up to "annoyingly congested" levels. *grumbles* But I got home before 5, got my work-out in, had a nice dinner, then moved onto Chapter 6 of "Fixing You." Elaborating on a bit of Victor's backstory (namely, how HE can be so nice when he grew up in Burtonsville) and cutting out bits of fluff here and there. I should finish the chapter this week; just not in time for posting, I don't think. I have a back-up post in the wings, though, so that's good.

After that was videos:

-->First, The Sim Supply, with a silly start to a short streamed "Rags to Riches" series with a friend, Dr. Gluon, where they make the world's most ridiculous bakery. It looks like something out of the Wild West on the outside; the inside is Caribbean-themed with copious amounts of grime; and the roof has a giant breadstick on it out of the debug menu XD The Sim they're going to use is a cat lady named Willet Bake. This is going to be -- interesting.

-->Second, a "Fun With Shorts," about American design in the sixties sponsored by Chevrolet. All about how Americans deserve all the coolest-looking objects -- but does not actually feature any cars! I am confused O.o At least Josh had fun taking the absolute piss out of it.

-->And third and fourth, a couple more episodes of CallMeKevin's Sims 4 playlist! Still in the early City Living days with Urp the philanderer, though the actual star of the series, Jim Pickens, has shown up as a creepy neighbor. Urp meanwhile has fathered two sets of twins (plus a couple of single children) with four different women, set his kitchen on fire twice, and threw a birthday party for his live-in kids that was mainly an excuse to woohoo with his old girlfriends. :p Good times!

And then it was the usual catch-up on websites, and working on my Valice Multiverse queue. Nothing too special. September doesn't promise much variation from the regular routine, at least not in the foreseeable future. We'll see how things go. Right now, I have a couple of comments in my inbox to answer -- night all!
