crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)
Mostly in terms of "I'm going to watch these random YouTube videos about Whose Line? and Fraiser instead of the stuff in my subscriptions or waiting in my Watch Later list, or writing." Can't say I regret it, though -- the videos were very funny, and I did clear out some of the stuff in my Watch Later, at least. Namely:

-->A Kubz Scouts video about 60 Parsecs!, featuring the new DLC character April and the new mission mode (where you go straight into the survival stage and have to fulfill a set number of goals. Jay got two out of the three listed -- he had to keep his crewmates alive, and Baby Bronco ended up succumbing)

-->An RTGamer video about Hitman's holiday DLC, where 47 is tasked with killing what are essentially the "Wet Bandits" from Home Alone, and can mug Santa for his suit if he so desires. RT went the extra mile by KILLING Santa, then slaughtering as many people as he could in the level with Santa's holiday fire axe. What is this game XD

-->The latest OXMas Challenge from Outside XBox -- which, coincidentally, was the same Hitman holiday DLC! Jane's challenge was to get the Santa suit and complete the mission without dying. Became a bit of a near thing near the end when she was making her escape, but she did it! (And no, she didn't kill Santa -- just knocked him out. Did take his beard, though -- Santa out of costume is apparently just a random mook with teleportation abilities. :p)

-->The two latest OXMas Challenges from Outside Xtra -- first, a survival challenge in battle royale game Fortnite, where Ellen and Luke had to take turns surviving as long as possible as pacifists -- picking up no guns and basically hiding from every other player. They both ended up getting pretty far with their hiding -- Ellen got 5th place, and Luke 4th! So a narrow victory for Luke there. . . And then the second challenge was playing not-Connect Four in A Way Out (which is normally a co-op game about escaping prison and having action buddy adventures). Ellen managed to win that one through creating "pits of doom" on the board, meaning she's ahead by one. Looking forward to tomorrow's offerings!

I also did get my writing done -- that gift fic I was struggling with the other day. Still couldn't find the short clips I wanted, but I did track down a full episode with the sequence I was looking for, so that was useful. Ended up coming out pretty good in the end, I think. Just two more to go!

The one thing I didn't really get done is gaming -- I started up BioShock Infinite, but didn't get very far before being asked to help with dinner (one that I had requested, soooo -- only fair). I wouldn't have minded so much if this game let you save instead of forcing you to rely on checkpoints. I actually went back and managed to get to the next checkpoint while dinner finished cooking, but only by resisting my usual urges to loot the hell out of things. And then I discovered I had another Lady Comstock fight to look forward to. *grumble* I'm going back and getting my goodies before you wreck my shit, you bitch. (Or maybe I should do that afterward? I guess it depends on just how much health I lose. . .)

Okay -- well, it's Saturday night, which typically means RP time, at least on tumblr. Plus I have a bunch of comments to answer in my inbox. . . *cracks knuckles* Let's get to it. Night all!
