crossover_chick: Doc snoozing on his couch (BTTF: exhausted)
More interruptions, dealing with the returned mail stuff (which I haven't had a chance to properly sort out for a while, as I've been trying to get through all this OTHER stuff. . .), and my coworker helping me is a) sick and b) much more interested in talking to the temp. It's just -- frustrating. Especially since the GL this morning was also a pain in the ass (one batch out of a bunch from our processing company didn't go through, so I had to split up their deposits to make sure I had everything right. . .) *sigh* Typical work day, honestly. I truly do live for the weekends these days.

Evening's been better, though -- another good workout, a nice dinner of chicken soup, and some more writing on Chapter 16! It's super fun to write Victor geeking out over all of his potential Otherland locations -- and then surprise him with one of them having come to life. Though I lost some time trying to figure out if I'd ever given his new foresty hub area a name -- apparently not. I was mentally referring to it as the "BurtonDead Forest," but given I've eradicated all traces of Burtonsville from the place. . . I'll think of something. Should manage to finish it off tomorrow, but we'll see!

Also found time for a few vidyas:

-->Another episode of "Super Sim" from The Sim Supply -- mostly about Max grinding out the last few levels of flower arranging, while Myra first failed to walk the dog, then kept going out and ditching the dog mid-walk. Poor Opie. Also, twins were there too, shoved into the corner of the parents' bedroom because there's no real room for them in Max's current house. Better hurry up and get that dock house built, James! We also discovered cloudy days are Not Good for PlantSims -- proof they were not created for Seasons. Fortunately Myra didn't drain the money trees again for her meal -- just the pomegranate tree. I think James might have genuinely gone and killed her if she'd autonomously drained those again.

-->Another episode of "Metro Exodus" from Helloween. A sneaky mission was pulled off sneakily by Hells and his fists of fury, and the Aurora was able to chug away from the anti-tech cult!

Straight into a band of cannibals! Yeah, turns out either Russia's top officials were eaten by cannibals, or have BECOME cannibals. Artyom, Miller, and Anna were all captured to be put on the chopping block -- fortunately, two of Artyom's friends, Sam and Idiot (look, THEY call him that) were able to stage a rescue. Cue Helloween wasting dudes with a shotgun and just BURNING it through the level because he was afraid finding Anna (who was dragged off) was timed and he's grown to care about her rather a bit. Fortunately she was all right, and the comments indicated the level wasn't actually timed, so no worries in the end. AND she got to save cutscene Artyom from his usual incompetence by slitting the throat of the head cannibal. I like me some battle couples. :)

And then after that's been the usual catching up on websites and fixing up queues. Valice Multiverse is done, and I've got the right number of posts going up for tomorrow on VictorLuvsAlice, yay. :p Now I just have to take care of what's in the inbox and I'm all set.

. . .and I was just reminded that today is Terry Pratchett's death day. A) No wonder it was worse than yesterday, B) no wonder I felt such a strong urge to reread some favorite bits from Going Postal. *sigh* Ah well -- so long as his name's still spoken, he'll still be around in some capacity. :) Time to take care of these last few comments -- night all!
