crossover_chick: Alice (Wonderland) looking kind of confused (AMA: WTFery?)
Well, that's mostly because only three of us showed up -- my direct coworker was sick, and one of my other coworkers had to stay home with her sick children. So it was just me up front for the day, which means I'm very grateful the phone wasn't any busier than it was. I did have a few moments where someone was trying to call in while I was on the line with someone else, but for the most part I was able to handle it. I also took the opportunity to clear up some one-time gifts posted to the wrong campaign year, and FINALLY do something with a small chunk of the matching gifts. So that made me feel better about life. Still got a lot to do, but I'm hoping I'll have more coworkers in tomorrow to assist me with that.

Evening was pretty quiet too -- and warmer than expected! Was only supposed to be in the 40s today, and it actually hit the mid-50s by the time I got out! So I went for a walk around the block. :D Felt good to get outside, do some jogging, all that. My indoor workouts are good and all, but I really do prefer being able to get outside to exercise. Like my daily dose of fresh air. :)

After that, a shower, and dinner, it was time to get back to work on Chapter 18 of "Fixing You." The group has been called in for their noon appointment with Mr. Terrence Adams, and the wedding is nigh! Now that Dr. Wilson has signed a paper certifying both parties are sane, that is. :p What, given the stories that have circulated around the two, it's a legitimate piece of paperwork to have. I've left it right before Victor sees Alice in her dress for the first time -- ooh, that's gonna be a fun moment to work on tomorrow. :)

Helloween had another Metro Exodus set up in my subscriptions -- and remember how I said I felt kinda sick the last time I watched one? Yeah, it happened again. Not as bad, but there was definitely some unsettled tummy going on. I have no idea WHY, given I wasn't feeling ill on previous sets. What is it about this deserty Mad Max area that makes me feel icky? Er, besides the awful slavers torturing innocent people. Yeah, Artyom was knocking out and shooting quite a lot of bastards when he wasn't exploring for loot this set. He also met a badass lady named Giul who is going to help him sneak into the command center they're looking for. I hope she ends up coming with them on the Aurora -- she hasn't said much, but already I like her. I have a weakness for tough ladies. :)

I also watched two Call Me Kevin videos -- one featuring the official video game adaptation of Peter Jackson's King Kong, which was the JANKIEST thing I have seen in ages. All the enemies just randomly span around in circles, it was great. XD And the other was the latest entry in his Sims 4 series, in which Jim Pickens and company developed a vaccine for the mysterious Possession and went to fight the Mother Plant! And, uh, failed miserably.

Like so miserably Jim DIED.

Seriously -- turns out there is a new death in StrangerVille, and it is getting EATEN by the Mother Plant. Worse yet, his urn is trapped down in the lower levels of the secret lab -- AND HE WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO HAD A KEYCARD. So Kevin's other Sims are probably in for a bit of a rough time as he works his way back down to rescue his favorite Sim. XD Jeez -- at least Shrek's already in the military career and can probably get his own keycard quickly!

Speaking of Sims, got four of my five parts for the latest Newcrest Adventures update done -- leaving the fifth part for tomorrow to a) remind me that I have to adjust my queue for this monster and b) because I spent an hour doing updates and I need a break. XD At least it has plenty of good pictures. . .and I know basically what I want to do for the rest of my week's queueing, so once I get the last bit of Wednesday done tomorrow, I can also zoom straight though the next three or so days. *whew* Won't THAT feel good!

Right now, though, I need to take care of the stuff that's still remaining in my inbox. Three more days to go at work -- if they all follow this pattern, I might have a good week. Though I'd like more of my coworkers to come in tomorrow, if at all possible. :p At any rate, I bid you all g'night!
