Less Windy Wednesday
May. 22nd, 2019 10:47 pmWhich certainly made both of my walks today a bit nicer. Good fresh air without being blown over half the country is always a plus. Nice and sunny too -- too bad tomorrow's supposed to be kind of cloudy with a chance of rain. Meh -- we'll see what happens! As long as the majority of my long weekend is nice. . .
Work was at least somewhat less stressful than yesterday -- the billing thing is hopefully being resolved, so it's onto the next problem! We're all just doing our best to correct things, and take care of returns, and get gifts on. . .it's a never-ending cycle. *sigh* This is exactly why I need the occasional long weekend. . .at least I'm coming up on a good chunk of time where I have at least a little time off every week (holidays for full days off, and graduations at the nearby cathedral leading to early releases -- I'll take whatever I can get).
Evening consisted mainly of three things:
A) Revising a Forgotten Vows snippet that I'm planning on posting tomorrow as an entry in "Imagine Me And You" -- it's a bit of a dark one, where Victor finally tells Alice about his suicide attempt from Darkest Hour. Brought up the feels while I was working it over -- especially since the story is set during Alice's pregnancy with Chester, and SHE'S been feeling anxious about being a mom thanks to her own suicide attempt in Rutledge. But it ends on a happy note, with them doing the "I'm going to make sure you know how much I love and respect you" thing. :)
B) Watching the latest Clan Reveal trailer for Bloodlines 2 -- the last obvious clan, Ventrue, is now officially confirmed! . . .to be setting people on fire, DAMN these trailers have just been getting creepier and creepier. But in a good way! :p Now we just have to figure out who the last clan is! Bets range from Nosferatu to Malkavian to Lasombra. I'm kinda hoping for the Malks, simply because that's Alice's clan, but we'll see!
C) Watching Helloween's latest Metro Exodus set -- he has kept up the stealthing, and continues to actually be not crap at it! (For the most part -- he did get blown up once trying to enter a camp and had to save scum his way out of it. Also he drowned Artyom trying to go back for something he missed in the previous set in the first 36 seconds of the first video. XD) He's even trying to avoid knocking people out if he can -- and for good reason, as apparently killing anybody in this section seems to be the path to pain and suffering. Not that he wants to kill anyone, really -- most of the population of this area are basically adult kids, playing at being pioneers and pirates. They were a bunch of schoolchildren taught to survive by their teacher after the nuclear blast left them largely untouched, and that -- well, that does things to people. The other major players around are bandits (whom Helloween would not mind shooting, given they're not exactly nice, but is refraining because he is concerned about getting the 'bad' ending), and a GIANT FUCKOFF MUTANT BEAR. Whom Helloween had to shoot the SHIT out of once he snuck out of the Pioneers', Pirates', and bandits' camps. It is a terrifying motherfucker and how Helloween managed not to die to it is -- frankly -- incredible. Dude, you may talk about being a bad, but moments like that show just how GOOD you are.
And that'll have to do it for tonight -- just gotta add one thing to my Victor Luvs Alice queue, sort out my comments, and then it's time for bed. Bleh, so tired. . .but only one more day of work for me, at least. Hopefully it goes well. . . Night all!
