crossover_chick: Doc in goggles and holding a big old plug with the words "feeling sparky..." (BTTF: feeling sparky/creative)
Very summery indeed -- although we did have another round of "the dark scary clouds come over and make it look like it's going to rain." I'm starting to think the weather this season is going to be themed around "a chance of thunderstorms but it never actually rains." Which, yeah, fine by me. Much better than what's been happening in the REST of the United States, from what I hear.

Work was pretty okay, though it was a bit of a day where I kept getting pulled away from the stuff I was trying to do by other projects. Did get my planned itinerary done, though, and headed off one problem before it could become a major thing, so that was good. AND avoided the PVDfest stuff while out on my lunchtime walk, which was also good. I don't begrudge the art festival for existing, but it does make going around the city a bit of a chore sometimes. Gonna keep well away from Providence this weekend (not that I had any plans to go there. . .).

Got in my second walk once I got home, had supper (a little late, as my dad was talking to a friend around the corner and lost track of time), then tried to figure out what I wanted to write. Like I said yesterday, I wanted to do something Forgotten Vows related -- specifically, something to do with the "wedding prep" fic collection I'm hoping to eventually get out. My first thought was to start "I Love My Love With An Amethyst" -- the "Victor buys Alice an engagement ring because he wants to ACTUALLY PROPOSE" story -- or at least get the main scene written up so I could work out the details later. However, I decided to open up one of the other stories I'd written, about Victoria turning over Emily's bouquet to Alice, to help inspire me --

And couldn't find the damn thing. Wasn't in "Stories In Progress," wasn't in "Technically Completed," wasn't in my "Forgotten Vows Verse" folder. . .cue me just starting to panic until I thought to check my "haven't been converted over from WordPerfect" folder. Turns out I'd a) never resaved it as an odt file and b) had originally named it "Something OLD" when I was looking for "Something BLUE." Cue me saving it under the proper format and name, and then going ahead and rewriting it as it's a short two-page piece. So if nothing else, I've got THAT sorted for the weekend of Victor and Alice's anniversary. Go me.

That took long enough, though, that I only really had time for one video -- fortunately, I only had one thing in the subscriptions, the next episode of The Sim Supply's Sims 2 LP. Which started out with him adopting a puppy and a kitten for the household (Hayley and Quentin, respectively -- yes, the pets get normal human names while the Sims get stuff like Eggton, Brentnall, and Sned) and turned into "let's try to fix up this disaster house." It's -- a LITTLE better. There's more room on the lower level now, and Eggton and Nina have a proper master suite now. On the other hand, James got so caught up in trying to make the house look better he almost forgot to ACTUALLY GET PET STUFF. XD And then he spent pretty much all their money so they can't order groceries. Also the house keeps glitching out because there's weird bugs were sinks will constantly try to go on a diagonal on certain walls. Also he keeps forgetting which doors he's locked and which he hasn't. A lot of this episode was James getting hilariously frustrated with the game is what I'm saying. XD At least the new puppy and kitten were adorable. More of my Sims need pets. Maybe the McFlys should adopt one.

After that was the usual catching up on stuff, and now I'm working on tumblr queues! Got the Saturday remixes up for Victor Luvs Alice, and located a particular Secundus Drabble of Summer I want to post on Victor and Marty's actual birthday -- mostly because it deals with them finding out they've got the same birthday. XD I'm also getting through all the reblogs I have waiting on Valice Multiverse -- my threads seem to be abruptly coming back to life now that summer's here, and I'm having a hard time adjusting. @.@ Also got something in my inbox I need to take care of. . .good thing it's a Friday night and I can stay up late!

Also a good thing -- we apparently do NOT have any particular plans to go out this weekend (or at least Saturday), so I can catch up on a few things. Tomorrow: room clean, at least a couple of my Bloodlines 2 videos, and some more Fallout 4. I am NOT letting myself have a video game-less weekend again. *determined nod* For now, though, I have to finish up these queues, so -- night!
