crossover_chick: Victor on the ground with one hand up with the text "Nooo! Anything but the fangirls!" (CB: save Victor from the fangirls!)
It was a rather slow start to the birthday -- I didn't properly get up and dressed until noon -- but still. Found the time to watch a bunch of Corpse Bride clips, trailers for all three BTTF movies, and take a silly picture of Victor Plush and Alice Dolly with a piece of coffee cake (Mom happened to make one this weekend, sooo. . .). Low-key celebrations, but still -- fun. :)

Been a pretty busy afternoon/evening, so let me try to sum things up before I have to hit the sheets:

-->Watched some more riddle videos from Jay and Kassie -- the usual goofy stuff from 7Seconds, with the usual amount of giggling and Jay missing the obvious. XD

-->Watched Helloween's latest set of Secret of Mana 2, which had the gang taking on the water/ice God Beast. Hells has switched to controlling Duran for this section of the game, as it's just easier to make sure he gets pointed at the right target if Helloween is in charge of him, rather than the AI. The gang cleared out the ice caves and defeated the Beast, but not without issues -- poor Hells first got turned around a few times in the dungeon, then encountered an enemy that cast some sort of horrible spell that NEARLY WIPED THE PARTY -- only Duran managed to survive with a sliver of HP because he was the burliest. And then the Beast himself proved to be an annoying boss fight with irritating chain casts and lots of "I can't get into the menu because one of the characters is doing something and that's blocking the game," which Helloween bitched freely about. I mean, it looks like a decent game, but I think I'd be getting even more frustrated than he was if I tried to play it with those controls. *sigh* But hey, four beasts down, four to go! Now Helloween just needs the right kind of seeds to get the stuff he needs for his upcoming class change -- the gang earned TWO levels in this set, after all.

-->Played some Sims 4 -- the McFly family celebrating New Year's Eve in the middle of a blizzard! They still had fun, though -- Marty's even already completed his resolution, which was to gain a skill point (he needed one for work, so I figured, why not?). I also built him a music room off his and Jennifer's bedroom (so I could finally put his keyboard inside), got him a drone and a music mix station, and gained him enough fame that he's now a Notable Newcomer. Slowly but surely working my way up the ladder! Emmett even dropped by as a result (you'll get random visits from friends wanting to catch up once you become famous), so he got to celebrate part of the day with his best friend. I can dig it. :) Very glad that the seasons have now changed to spring, though -- I'm sick of all this virtual snow! Bring on virtual summer (especially since we now have the "beachy location" expansion pack to look forward to later this month. . .)!

-->Watched the latest episode of Super Sim from The Sim Supply -- it was Winterfest for Max and his family! And, for a change, James decided to ACTUALLY CELEBRATE the holiday! Tree, presents, grand meal (which took multiple tries to make as Max kept going outside to pose for the paparazzi XD), Father Winter (whom Max both bugged and FLIRTED WITH) -- the works. It was a very fun episode, even if it was marked by much James frustration -- with his Sims not doing as they were told (a feeling I sympathize with VERY well), with the lighting, and with his front stairs disappearing AGAIN because he dared to build a basement. XD Good stuff.

-->Watched a throwback video from Deli, where she sought out her very first house builds from 2014! Took some searching, but eventually she located them. This included a rather nice renovation of a Willow Creek property, the infamous "foot fetishist" cube (where she made a starter home that had a floor-level window INTO THE BATHROOM), and a shockingly nice wedding chapel that I am actually tempted to go in and download. Always cool to see these old-time Simmers looking at their blasts from the past!

-->And, finally, caught up on the news on the latest expansion pack, Island Living, from SimsVIP, including watching the trailer. As usual, they had an awesome song to go with said trailer, and the world itself looks pretty cool. Plus there are now mermaids, so that's a neat thing. :) Comes out June 21st, with the patch hitting on the 18th -- must prepare for Mod Armageddon yet again. They also announced the next stuff pack, which is -- Moschino Stuff. For the clothing brand. ...Yeah, think I'll give that one a miss. Go back to making stuff packs for movies and ice cream makers, EAxis, I LIKED those.

Okay, gotta wrap up things here and hit the sheets. I would say "at least I get out early tomorrow," but -- it's a half-hour early. Kind of a "why are you even bothering" early. *sigh* Well, half hour's a half hour, and it looks like I'll need the time to get my Sims pictures in order, so. . . Night all!
